What's new

Ukraine changed date of Christmas from January 7 to December 25

.
War is a worldly and human thing.

By associating God with worldly thing is a sign of ignorant.

Why don't make Zelensky as Jesus's younger brother then?

Change the bible and add the story about Zelensky as Jesus younger brother.

It's not so different with changing the religious holiday date.

Ukraine is a Catholic Christian country now?

Zelenskyy is making fun of Christianity.

We know what they say about our beloved prophet holy Jesus (A.S.). What they say is only worthy of themsleves.

Fighting war is more important, than celebrating festivals including Christmas, Eid or any other.

Even Christmas date is considered 25 December (which is not 100% accurate) in most countries.
But Christmas is celebrated months, due to heavy snow fall in Europe.

No,they might be changing from the old calendar to the new calendar, just like Greece,Cyprus,Romania and some other Orthodox countries.

This is extremely misleading. Read and learn:

I'm asking you to stop posting heavily pro-Russian (or heavily pro-Ukrainian) sources and making threads about every single news you find on the internet about the war or every single thought you have in your head. Stop spreading misinformation.

And stop spamming threads every day! You're pushing other people's threads way back and entire sections are full of only your threads to see in the first and second page. Have the decency to think about others too and don't be greedy.

Most possibly you are right.

Given Zelensky is a Jew made me suspicious.

It's obviously a move to get more far away from Russian Orthodox tradition and the Moscow Patriarchate, but it's nothing like that twitter post says about Ukraine "not celebrating Christmas anymore". That's misinformation.

The schism has its root in a dispute over who between the Patriarchate of Moscow and the Patriarchate of Constantinople has canonical jurisdiction over the See of Kyiv and, therefore, which patriarchate has canonical jurisdiction over the territory of Ukraine

But I have to say Orthodox are much closer to Islam and we never have any issues with out Orthodox brothers who follow the Old Testament

Catholics and Protestants have more issues with Orthodox than even Muslims do

Catholics they burnt all the women and children in the churches when they passed through Constantinople when marching to Jerusalem

again 200 years before the Ottomans Arrived at the gates of Constantinople in 1493 it was the Catholics who had burnt the city to the ground and left them to the Ottomans, it only made the job easy for the Turks
