UK military academy team visits National Defence Academy
PUNE: The Royal Military Academy's (RMA) cadet hockey team from Sandhurst, United Kingdom visited the National Defence Academy (NDA) as part of an international cooperation and exchange initiative.
The RMA team was headed by, Maj Mick, PTO (Chef de Mission). The team comprised of 14 male and 6 female players and was captained by Capt Hugo M'lullaugh.
A friendly match between cadets hockey team of the RMA and NDA cadets' hockey team was played at the astro turf ground of the NDA. Rear Admiral Anand Iyer, officiating Commandant of the NDA, was the chief guest.
In a keenly contested match, RMA cadet hockey team emerged as winners (3-1). The visiting team was shown the motivational movie on NDA - "The standard bearers". The officiating commandant thereafter interacted with the visitors and answered variety of questions related to training at the academy.
