A Uighur girl did a street interview in XInjiang , she stopped some girls on the street and asked them if they like to marry out of Xinjiang. All the respondents answered "Yes", when asked for reasons they all said because the other regions are more developed and offer more opportunities.

Xinjiang is relatively less developed than other parts of China, the question is basically asking those girls if they like to marry someone from other parts of China and settle outside Xinjiang, and those girls say that's what they always hope for, for better personal development and more opportunities.

Uyghurs did that since more than 25 years ago. Only after the extremists among them successfully ruined their reputation, they became unwelcome outsides Xinjiang.

As of Han people marrying Uyghurs, there is one thing that still puzzles me. Uyghur girls are often beautiful before they are married. But after that, they seem to balloon very quickly. I wonder if it has something to do with the task of cooking for the family.

for sure there are good looking people everywhere but i met some uyghurs in person and i think girls are much better looking. i think overall northern chinese men are better looking. they have a badass look.

Or maybe they want to marry Pakistani, Turkish, and Indonesian, etc since the original question is marrying out side Xinjiang

Women usually doesnt have too much connection on the place they are born in and will see the best husband from all over the world. But for Muslim women they will certainly look for another Muslim as husband, since it is a big sin for them to marry non Muslim husband. The best you can bet is that they will marry another Uighur in other Chinese cities or marrying Hui.

We men are usually ugly, I'm not joking I've met people from a lot of countries countries and generally men are not so good looking, maybe something to do with our cave men ancestors that won over women with more food/resources and physical strength over good looks.
