Abdullah Bin Zayed receives US congress delegation
US delegation is headed by Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security
Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, on Friday received a delegation of US Congress members headed by Representative Michael T. McCaul, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations as well as discussed opportunities for boosting cooperation between the two countries in various fields of common interest.
Shaikh Abdullah and the delegation also exchanged views on the latest developments in the international and regional arena and reviewed initiatives and international efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
The parties also highlighted the importance of joint cooperation between the two countries in enhancing the chances for peace, consolidation of stability and pushing development efforts in the Middle East.
Shaikh Abdullah noted progress in the relationship between the two countries, the exchange of visits at the highest levels, and the strategic partnership, which includes all areas of bilateral agreements in most fields, and similar stances towards issues concerning the region and the world.
