They were gonna use the airspace, with or without permission. “The Strong do what they can, the weak suffer what they must”. The most famous quote of Thucydides.

It's probably one of these may be from the carrier.

As I mentioned few weeks back that Taliban will face considerable resistance if they try to enter Kabul, there are highly trained ruthless multi national private contractors waiting for them …

They look like clowns I bet they will leave before the US.

That is my biggest worry.

The danger to Pakistan is not from the outside, but from within, the ruling liberal elite of Pakistan, specially within establishment. aka enlightened moderates. These venomous creatures will go to any length to prove their point, even if it is at the expense of Pakistan, its people and its interests. The success of Taliban, is their kryptonite, it goes against anything and everything they preached and boosted about in post 9/11 world.

Pakistan allowing any third country to use its land, air and sea to attack Afghanistan, under whatever pretext, is an unlawful act. Pakistan establishment is directly dragging Pakistan into Afghan conflict when it gives safe passage to American/NATO forces. There has to be a strong opposition from civil society in Pakistan and awareness in this matter. These pseudo intellects, aka enlighten moderates have already caused much damage to Pakistan and they still think they been on the right side all along!

They don’t have to waste F-35s on a mission like this. It’s was probably super hornets. Heck, months ago, when the withdrawal was first announced, they even threatened to use B-52s in the event US forces are endangered. Nothing in the USAF inventory is more unstealthy then the B-52.

FroM Where these air strikes originated?
No one will reveal it obviously. the guesswork is already on. most probably bases from the gulf and the Indian Ocean, where CENTCOM headquarters is. The second place is in Turkey which still has a US base on its land.
Pakistan and the US already have an agreement signed during the general musharaf era and the Present setup will not dare to defy it. Though apparently for the public sentiments, Imran says absolutely no for the-not-asked bases but did not mention the corridor given to the US by the previously signed agreement.
The US damn cares about violating the sovereignty of any weak country for its interests. the countries surrounding Afghanistan hardly possess potent air defense systems to challenge and deter the US. in such a scenario where there are no punitive counter actions against it, the US has unrestricted access to bomb and target its adversaries.

this is what US top general Milley said,
“we’ve stood up a node in Qatar that’s operational now” that will allow the US “to be able to conduct over-the-horizon strikes”,

I am fast beginning to think that the pentagon has simply passed gas here and nothing really happened. Otherwise we would've seen cheer leading from both the ghani regime and the bhindians, not to mention comments from the Afghan taliban.

I'm fast becoming convinced that these "air strikes" never happened; pentagon is simply bluffarting.

These will have very little effect in containing the Taliban. Worse, the attacks will encourage the Taliban to go an extra mile.
