Members of the Free Syrian Army reportedly attacked the Christian-dominated al-Duvair village in Reef on the outskirts of Homs on Monday, where they massacred its citizens, including women and children, before the Syrian Army loyal to Bashar al Assad intervened on behalf of the Christians.
This reported attack comes shortly after intense fighting in the city of al-Qusseir over the weekend, in which Bashar Al-Assad’s forces inflicted heavy casualties on the rebels.

Assad’s forces launched an offensive in April in an effort to cut off supply lines to the rebels by taking the city and its surrounding areas from the rebel groups that had been entrenched there since last year. Two weeks ago, the Syrian forces reached the center of the city

While the sources describing Monday’s massacre are supportive of Assad, it’s possible that it occurred since the rebel groups fighting the Assad regime are composed mainly of members of al-Qaeda and al-Qaeda affiliated groups and have committed war crimes and atrocities in the past.

Jabhat al-Nusra, the branch of al-Qaeda that fought and killed American and allied troops in Iraq, have positioned themselves in Syria and control the rebel movement.

The U.S. and other Western governments that are backing the FSA (Free Syrian Army), have acknowledged the presence of jihadists but insist that they’re only a small part of the rebel movement. However, al-Qaeda and other Islamic extremist groups have been at the front of the rebel movement since day one of the Syrian war that began two years ago. According to German intelligence, 95 percent of the rebels aren’t even Syrian.

I hate this planet.....

Before the 2003 Iraq War, 10% of Iraq's population was considered Christian. By around 2010, that population was reduced to only 4% and it was dwindling quite fast.

go usa!............... n ur double standards...

What can the Americans do, if the people of Syria revolt against their leader? The US is among the countries that is hesitant to provide more weaponry to the Syrian conflict. If you do want to blame foreigners for exacerbating the violence in Syria, you should point out to Qatar, Saudi-Arabia, Russia, Iran and Hezbollah, parties that are delivering weapons, munition and mercenaries to the opposing factions, making things worse.

Hmm...Hezbollah entered the conflict only very recently...

Aren you seruously pointing at Qatar,KSA? without US permission they cant do jack abt it... as for Iran or russia they arent delivering mercenaries but maybe weapons to tht dictator asad... while USA and her allies are pushing in mercenaries and arming them just like they did in libya... also i dont see asads army butchering civilians or bombing shrines or even trying to shood down airliners... thts what ur FSA pets are doing...

We can shortly expect the FSA to claim that those children were killed by the Syrian military.

I don't know how Saudia Arabia, the US, France, Turkey and a bunch of other bafoons support this terrorist organization.

It's crystal clear, because they are fighting Assad and hate Iran and Shias. The rest doesn't matter.
I believe even if Bin Laden started to target Iran,Syria or Shias systematically, it would take no more than few days for western and Arab media to introduce him as a 'freedom fighter'.
We have good terrorists and bad terrorists.Bad terrorists target western interests and civilians, good terrorists target civilians who oppose western interests or live in a country that opposes western policies.

egyptians, libyan, tunisians were lucky, syrians are not it seems....
But as far as I know europeans have not armed FSA yet, where do they get their guns and munition from?

So we are not Muslim killers now? :victory:

We don't back anyone ... The FSA knows they have elements that the US does not want anything to do with.

BTW 80,000 now killed by Assad is it? oh great Muslim posters above- no umma concern for that. You guys never post when your own dictators kill you Muslims by thousands

I have said here before, we have on PDF wanna be Muslims a lot. They wanna be Muslim depending on whom US supports, the moment US comes to the aid of Muslims... they wanna be keepers of Christians or anyone else -as we can see from the comments above.
