(RTTNews) - Two service-members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) have been killed in separate incidents of IED (improvised explosive device) attack in southern Afghanistan.

One soldier died in an IED attack on Tuesday, while the other was killed on Wednesday, ISAF said in separate statements.

It did not reveal the nationality of the victims as per ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.

With this, the number of foreign troops killed in Afghanistan this year rose to 199.

4 ANA troops’ dead bodies found in Ghazni

Dead bodies of four Afghan National Army (ANA) troops who had reportedly been killed in southern Zabul province were found by their colleagues last evening in central Ghazni province, an official said Wednesday.

The armed Taliban had first killed them and then shifted their dead bodies to the Gilan district, where the rebels had also killed two women and three children in Hassan Khil village, governor spokesman, Sabawoon told Wakht News Agency

According to the spokesman, the five had been killed as a government armed oppositions’ rocket landed on their house in Hassan Khil, a village in Gilan district of the province.

Last day, also five Afghan national army troops had been wounded in a roadside mine explosion in Dehkhudaydad district of the province.

2 NATO troops, 34 militants killed in Afghanistan



KABUL, Afghanistan -- NATO says separate attacks have killed two service members in different parts of Afghanistan, while Afghan officials say a two-day operation in eastern Paktika province has left 34 insurgents and two policemen dead.

The U.S.-led military coalition in Afghanistan says the NATO troops were killed Friday in the south and east of the country where most of the fighting is taking place this summer. No other details were released.

Mokhlis Afghan, a spokesman for Paktika, says 34 insurgents including two Taliban commanders were killed Thursday and Friday in four districts of the province. He says three of the insurgents were wearing suicide vests.

So far this year, 195 NATO service members have died in Afghanistan.

Its not about scenarios...politics...those soldiers were following orders....they doesn't deserve sarcastic comments like that coz in reality, on the battle background, they were engaging with terrorists who take innocent lives, irrespective of what a person on other side is thinking and typing. Do you expect those soldiers to disobey direct orders....would you expect same with your soldiers...?

Why? He is right here, NATO has no role in Afghanistan. No war is fought without the loss of lives. The sad thing is, that i wish American Senators were the ones on the front line.

These poor chap soldiers don't deserve to die in a war that has no meaning.
