our engineering institutes are very much worthy of being in top ranking in the world, we do have upper hand in terms of academics, quality of education and placements but lack in several other important factors like research, international exposure etc which may not be considered much in India but weight so much when such rankings are made

Do not take FT MBA ranking seriously. Most MBA ranking methodology are not based on academic data, rather they rely on subjective survey such like career placement, salary, alumni giving.....How else can you Hong Kong U ranked ahead of MIT, Berkeley, Chicago, Northwestern, UCLA, NYU?

Have u been to school? Do you understand, "ranking methodology"? MBA ranking are non academic based. Every magazine published MBA ranking based on their own subjective methodology. It does NOT measure research output or citation %...etc.

if you go by academic, no Indian university ranked in top 300 in the world. If you rank by admission percentage, India and China will be top because of the huge applicants due to huge population, but it does not say anything about research quality. Do you get it?

Both the MBA and EMBA rankings include a research rank. This is calculated according to the number of faculty publications published in 45 academic and practitioner journals. Points are awarded to the business school at which the author is currently employed. The total is then weighted for faculty size.

How many percent does it constitute? The fact that FT factored in alumni giving, career placement, salary... it had grossly dilute the academic component. Are you seriously so dumb?
