Maybe it was Iranians behind it?

Kenya and Somalia in bitter dispute over Indian Ocean border - News - www.theeastafrican.co.ke

This dispute, like many others, is inspired by disagreement over resources within and beneath the ocean floor. A report by Indian Ocean Observatory says that Somalia believes that by leasing oil exploration blocks to Total and Eni oil companies, Kenya has contravened Somali Law No. 37, which defines Mogadishu’s continental shelf, its 200 nautical miles and territorial seas.

“This law was signed on September 10, 1972 and was reaffirmed on July 24, 1989 when Somali ratified the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea,” reads the Indian Ocean Observatory report.

Looks like al shabab are trying to replicate boko haram. In both places the governments have failed miserably in keeping their people safe.

Not funny m8, they just had a terrorist attack that killed their best and brightest.

I don't think its funny. I think from the other posts when everything is blamed on Iran, then attention is taken away from all the muslim terrorists in Somalia and Kenya and Nigeria that should be the responsibilities of Muslim countries to help resolve.

These are all oil reserve disputes.

Yes, each one is trying to up the attention. It is lunatics trying to out do the other. These are complete lunatics and my full support for the kenyan govt to use a sledge hammer to eradicate these terrorists who care for nothing except hate. This is no religion but fascist type of brainwashing. Education.... the lack of it is the root cause.. further Somalia is fragmented by tribal factions and warloards... Afghanistan being exact copy of this.

Kenya has chosen to intervene militarily in crisis-ridden Somalia. Their goal is to create a buffer state in the Jubba region that borders Kenya, and create facts on the ground where it wants to extend its continental shelf by influencing the events in Somalia. This region has been a safe haven and an economic for to Al-Shabaab. Hence the consistent attacks from Al-Shabaab against Kenya.

Al-Shabaab's goal is also to destroy Kenya's tourism industry - which is one of the main pillars of Kenyan economy.

p.s. Al-Shabaab is a takfiri group. Therefore, Iran has no part in this. Anyone who blames Iran has no knowledge who you're dealing with when it comes to Al-Shabaab.

To the average Somali, let Al-Shabaab (a Takfiri terrorist group) and Kenya - a nation that is taking advantage of the Somali civil war - destroy each other. They are 2 enemies, so if they destroy each other, so be it.

It is also possible Kenyan intelligence has their hands in this tragedy and intend to use it for other motives. You may never know.

Nearly 150 students murdered.

There is a big problem within Islam and until Muslims face up to this fact, there will not be an end to this.

Members of Kenya Defence Forces secure the area of the Garissa University College in Garissa on Friday. Al-Shabab gunmen rampaged through the university at dawn on Thursday, killing over 100 people in the group's deadliest attack in the East African country.
