A two-day-old baby was found dead after being flushed down by her own parents in a clinic in India’s southern state of Kerala, NDTV reported.
It was the plumber who discovered the body of the tiny tot who was called by Dr Abdul Rehman when he noticed obstruction in the toilet bowl.
Dr Rehman, who runs the doctor’s clinic next to his house where the girl was found first noticed the obstruction and called in the plumbers.
When the servicemen tried to unblock the toilet, they found something that was in a shape of a ball. They were traumatised when they saw the tiny baby’s head was the cause of the blockage. The body of the newborn, her placenta still attached, was stuck in the duct.

According to the police, they suspect it was the parents who brought the girl to the clninc on pretext of consultation and flushed the baby down the toilet.
However, since the placenta was still intact, the police suspect that it was the mother who could have delivered her inside the washroom before trying to get rid of her.
Police said that the records of all the patients are under investigation who made a visit to the clinic that day.
The doctor has filed a complaint and case of unnatural death was filed.

“Investigations are underway. We are analysing the records, but we haven’t been able to identify her parents yet,” police sources said.
The baby’s body has been sent to Thrissur medical college for a postmortem examination.
