Twitter suspends Pakistani Foreign office spokesperson M Faisal's private account

. .
Glad to have reduced you to mere trolling. That was easy. :partay:

I am not trolling at all. The ban was reversed, although one must wonder what led to it in the first place. Pity PDF could not get its own ban reversed.

I'll refer you back to:

How do you know there were no violations of Twitter rules from that private account? The ban is possible only after such violations. - Syed Ali Haider

Ergo, more transparency into the process is needed.

Of course, I said the same thing in the other thread as to why such an error as admitted by Twitter happen in the first place. I would suspect that someone determined a violation of rules based on an erroneous understanding, but supervisors are supposed to catch such shaky decisions, specially where high profile individuals are concerned such as Dr. Faisal. Or perhaps a tweet in violation was withdrawn and the ban reversed on appeal after compliance?

. .
With Due respect, Is twitter owned by Indian Govt ?
Even Govt. of Pakistan can complain and Get a Tit-4-Tat.. No ?

Speculation.

All you have is a PR statement, not facts. You are free to split hairs to demystify it but it won't go anywhere because Twitter does not have a transparent, verifiable process in place. Though I suspect bias plays a role in Twitter's decision making process and it needs to be confronted. Donald Trump's private Twitter account is a prime example.

Only Twitter and the account holder can shed reliable light on what happened. You are correct that anything else is speculation.

Any claims of bias can be difficult to judge fairly without personal prejudices creeping in.

Difficult but not impossible and denialism will surely not solve the problem.

Agreed. In any case the account that was the topic of this thread has been restored, so at least the error as it may or may not have existed has surely been rectified.

Of course, Twitter walked back its decision after the outrage. Though the incident raises more questions, regarding bias, explicit or otherwise. Once again:

According to reports, the FO spokesperson’s account (@DrMFaisal) on the micro-blogging site was suspended after some of his tweets “were reported to Twitter by the Indian government”.

As your link says: "While there has been no official statement over the suspension as of yet," then as you said above, it is all speculation, including claims of bias. May be if we knew what tweets were the ones that raised the issue we might speculate a bit more intelligently?
