Twin Blasts in Quetta, 15 dead

QUETTA: At least 15 people were reported dead and several injured on Wednesday morning when two powerful bomb blasts hit the DIG Frontier corps residence in Quetta, DawnNews reported.

“First a car bomb exploded outside the residence of DIG Frontier Corps, then a suicide bomber entered inside the house and blew himself up,” senior police official Hamid Shakil said, referring to the corps’ deputy inspector general.

“The DIG is safe. Thirteen people have been killed and 28 were wounded,” he added.

No real connection to BLA/BLF, it is a Pashtun dominated city, right on the border next to Kandahar. You see Pakistan arresting Al-Qaeda fighters in Quetta in the past few days, in all likelihood infiltrating & coming from Kandahar, this is only payback from the actions Pakistan took.

It about time that the Pakistani authorities get serious (GOP) about the infiltration from Afghanistan, and if needed take the Turkey and Iranian route of what they do in Iraq to secure their own people. True if you look at the location of last few blasts most of the cities these terrorist have hit are those who are near to Afghan border. Jamrud, Nowshehra, Quetta. Unlike before when they used to hit even Islamabad these terrorists are now hitting areas closer to border thanks to the sanctuaries they enjoy in Afghanistan.

Unlike before when they used to hit even Islamabad these terrorists are now hitting areas closer to border thanks to the sanctuaries they enjoy in Afghanistan.

The kids that got kidnapped by terrorists in the Bajaur border region got sanctuary in Afghanistan as well. Infiltration from Afghanistan into Dir, Malakand, Chitral is happening in hundreds of Afghan terrorists in their Afghan safe havens trying to infiltrate into Pakistan. Then there is infiltration of terrorists from Kandahar to Chaman to Quetta as well. Wonder when the Afghan safe havens will be tackled.
