Turkmenistan has got so much potential.

The country doesn't have a large population, which is a good thing in my opinion, plus it has almost as many natural gas reserves as Qatar and Iran.

Turkmenistan should be another Qatar, in my opinion. It should be an extremely wealthy country with one of the highest GDPs per capita in the world, but for some strange reason it isn't.

well we are not as bad as russians and others propagandized and ty but i still belive turkmenistan should move for more balanced economy right now economy mainly based on oil/gas and chemical industry than cotton/textile industry i wish to see them to move forward and improve other sections like car industry i also wish to see them exit the isolation and the Russians influence

not as bad as 5 years ago, but problems are still there, Naval buildup of both countries is mostly due to each other,
apart from that, Turkmenistan is isolated from rest of the world and relations with most countries are just alright, including with countries like Turkey, they don't extend beyond that.
Turkey and Azerbaijan are working with Turkmenistan for Trans-Caspian Pipeline, such project would drastically improve relations.

That pipeline would be a wet dream coming true for Turkmenistan, no longer bound to Russia and I believe China as export countries.

Right now Russians buy Turkmen gas and re-sell it for more money in Europe. At the same time China is also buying Turkmenistan's gas but for all that they are paying them much less than it's real value and Turkmens can't do nothing because they are a small and isolated country which countries like Russia, China and Iran try to extort for their own profit.

Transporting Turkmenistan's gas to Europe means that both Azeris and Turks can make money from transit fees too but that is less important than the fact that we can help a fellow brother country to get a fair price for their own resources which will help them to prosper and develop more.

I don't believe that this project will be realised. Russia wouldn't allow it, I guess.

well there isn't much to tell at 2016 Turkmenistan stop selling gas to Russia now same goes for Iran (due to the Iranian debt to Turkmenistan ) that's not cute cuz it's leave china as only customer and it means they can dictated their wishes since the most of Turkmenistan revenue come from gas which only china buying if they don't pay for their gas Turkmenistan will be screwed like i said before economy based only on 1 resources has this problems too

In the morning, the Head of the State arrived in the Olympic village, which arenas are to hold the competitions of the VAsian Games. Turkmen Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was met by the Chairpersons of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, some ministries and departments, Hyakim of Ashgabat as well as the Head of Polimeks, Turkish Construction Company that builds this largest facility.
