To the meeting moderated by Academy President Darhan Kıdırali; Kazakhstan Education Minister Ashat Aymaganbetov, Kazakhstan Science and Higher Education Minister Sayasat Nurbek, Azerbaijan Education Minister Emin Amrullayev, Kyrgyzstan Education Minister Almazbek Beysenaliyev, Turkiye's Nur Sultan Education Advisor Abdulmuttalib Cetin, as well as ambassadors of member and observer countries attended.

At the meeting, a protocol was signed to include the "Common Turkish History", "Common Turkish Literature" and "Common Turkish Geography" textbooks prepared by the International Turkic Academy into the secondary school curriculum in Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Within the scope of the said protocol, the programs and texts of the joint textbooks were approved by the education ministries of the countries, and the parties agreed to organize various activities to disseminate these lessons among the students.

At the meeting, issues such as increasing student exchange programs between Turkish states, coordinating cooperation in education and science from a single center, and approving the academy's action plan for 2022 were also discussed.

In a statement after the meeting, President of the International Turkic Academy Kıdırali said that the common textbooks, which had been discussed for many years and were finally approved by all countries, were officially accepted.

Kıdırali said, “Work on the common history textbook started in 2014. The national education curriculum of each country is different. There have been many meetings about this. We discussed and presented these textbooks for the approval of all parties, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education of Turkiye, in Istanbul on May 16-18.

Pointing out that there are many integration organizations in the world, but it is very rare to include common textbooks in the school curriculum, Kıdırali said, “We can say that this is one of the important achievements of the integration of the Turkish world. Because countries have their own values and opinions. Common textbooks are difficult in this respect. However, we came together at a common point and prepared textbooks with pictures and maps in an easy and understanding language suitable for secondary schools.” he said.

Noting that experts from both the academy and member countries had a great effort in the preparation of these textbooks, Kıdırali said, “From now on, according to the protocol signed today, these textbooks will be harmonized and included in the curriculum. Secondly, the parties will contribute to their further development. Thirdly, studies will be carried out to introduce the books and to make these courses distinguished among the students.” used the phrases.

After the meeting, an international conference was held by the academy for the 150th anniversary of the birth of Kazakh linguist and Turkologist Ahmet Baytursiniu.

At the conference held at Nazarbayev University, Kazakh and Turkish copies of the books "Turkistan", "Persons of the Turkic World" and "Ahmet Baytursiniuli and Alaş" were introduced.

The target for alphabet unity is 2035.

As far as can be understand, also Common Educational curriculum work continues successfully. Studies that started with 4 Turkish countries to cover the primary and secondary school curriculum will expand to 7 countries over time.

Socio-cultural and political integration between independent Turkish states in the geography stretching from Central Asia to the Mediterranean is increasingly deepening on strong foundations.
