Turkish TV interviews Syrian refugees in Turkey

You mean these Turkish media are some sort of suicide bombers ?
a foreigner may see it as inhibiting medias who are against the official view of the ruling party from accessing to the witnesses ;)

well we are not crying that we are the prime example of democracy and won't use it as a club to hit on the head of the other people .

I'm sure some people rather to ignore these news

first, any of these journalist not accused of publishing news. They are accused of being member of terorist orgs and involved in armed terorist attacks..most of them no have press ID. just becuase of they worked in some marginal papers and magazines they are called as journalist.

second, their trail continue, probabely most of them will be freed.

third, if they so called jurnalists were citizens of Iran they all be exacuted by iran regime within e few month..

fourth, there is no justice and democracy 1 of 10 of Turkey in Iran

.
This is not about preaching the democracy, when you allow people to speak there mind and heart it consolidate the overall structure of nation state. The states (regimes) who deny that right collapses like sand structure.

If you analyse Turkish Media then you will find great commentaries on Syrian issue that vehemently opposes the Government's stand and people discuss and comment these issue quite openly.

coming to the point of Turkey, most of the journalists who are in jail not there for being a journalists they are there for crimes , Bayloz, Sledghammer etc etc. Even the top military officers and the administrative are also there for the same reason.

yes always there is some crime somewhere it is Bayloz, Sledgehammer etc etc in some place handling drugs , in some place reporting the front-line of war and in some places exporting knife and revolvers to Iran .
there is always a crime after all no country prison journalists because of journalism

Obviously they must be punished for the crime committed, they are not the holy cow like the Military officers, just few days back in India an editor of the top private channel was apprehended for blackmailing the industrialist for financial gains.

there is no doubt if the commit a crime they mus be punished and nobody must be exempt from that , the question is how come in one night 100 of them committed a crime ? and interestingly all of them against the current ruling party policies .?

My dear your suspicion might have some ground like many people in Turkey but that does not suffice to media curtail as you yourself can read and watch that what the opposition oriented news paper writes and telecast in Turkey even after jailing the accused media people, they are as free as in any other nation of Europe or India. As far as jailing them is concerned its not only the media people more 400 top retired and serving army officers also in jail with some industrialist and administrative officers.

I think the freedom you have been enjoying under the 42 years of Al-Assad rule created Stockholm syndrome in your mind. That is why you have started comparing Turkish & Syrian freedom of speech, an apple with an orange.

The reason for behind the pepples discontent agaimst the regime was curbing the same freedom of speech. In Turkey the head of Kurdish BDP blamed Erdogan for ordering ulundre air strike what Erdogan could do, just to file a defamation case against him, now you can compare the socio-political developments in the two countries respectively

hahah. look the freedom in Syria i had was the best freedom I wouldn't trade it for the whole world... you're probably wondering what freedom?? I tell you what freedom, the freedom to walk in street safe, the freedom of not worrying that you or your loved ones might die of IED or sucide bombing while going to school or work, the freedom of happiness, love, and BEING STRESSED FREE.... I said this before and I will say it again... DEMOCRACY CAN BURN IN HELL WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY. What does democracy worth in Iraq? Libya? do you think they have democracy? you must be a naive for believing in such things as democracy in this world...

The best freedom is the freedom of safety and love.... Which Syria had before democracy came... check out my thread comparing Syria and USA in Global Peace Index... before and after 2011( or democracy )

Twisting of convenience, isn’t it ? Then how would you compare your definition of democracy with GCC countries that have all this with huge money and handouts to the citizenry (according to your parameters) . And your take on pre Mobarak Egypt and Post Mobarak Egypt?

GCC?? yeah true they have money.. but they are not rich like SYRIA... Syria is rich of LOVE, PEACE, AND SAFETY... can you tell me where you can find a Christian praying in Mosques and Muslims praying in Churches?? I tell you where... ONLY IN SYRIA... that is what i'm talking about... people loving each other, living peacefully, till democracy and freedom came from GCC and the West....

Take a look at Libya, Iraq, and Egypt.... can you tell me what democracy have brought upon them? Egypt is asking for loans and its economy is going down... Iraq and Libya people die on a daily basis... and now Syria where people are being slaughtered under the name of freedom and democracy then videos go out online blaming the government...
You my friend are a victim of a "western dream" thinking there is such thing as democracy...

Indeed we have freedom, and it is essential for our people. That's why even the slightest cencorship in some TV show or in a book is being heavly criticized. Countries like yours or Iran is in a different league. When it comes to freedom of speech you should compare yourselves with other Arab nations. With his Arab mentality, this is all Erdogan can do. Even in our current situation we're far ahead of you. It is more about culture and how people see it.

Btw, those people in the video are not refugees, and it wasn't taken in Turkey.

DEMOCRACY CAN BURN IN HELL WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY.

This is why we are free and you're a slave. If there had been democracy in Syria, you would have been safe now.

All you said is worthless... 90% of "democratic" nations are not safe at all... you are telling me USA is safe? UK is safe? France is safe? Iraq is safe? Libya is safe? Egypt is safe?

don't ignore the facts

To be sure that i am no way a victim of "Western Dream". In Indian Most of the people who visit Moslem shrines are non-moslem Hindus this is not rare to Syria only. using each other’s place of worship is not rare in the world. In Saddam's time the grand mosque of Baghdad used to have two prayer leaders one for Sunnite & other for Shiets and they both use the same premises for the worship. Keeping all this freedom in mind still Saddam Hussein was a dictator and he curbed the discontent like any other dictator in the world so as Al-Assad clan and they too killed the opponents and the voice of discontent ruthlessly.

Again you are mixing the freedom of religious practices with accommodation of the regime opposition and discontent of the people. The old saying pefectly fit the case” there is no flame without the smoke” so status-quo is not possible in the Middle East any more.

Look answer my questions here please... because these questions will answer your own questions...

Why does the west refuse Alasad to hold elections under the UN eyes? If the west is claiming that Alasad has no popularity then there is nothing to fear because Alasad will lose... so why is the west worried??

Why is Alasad still in power?? If the majority of Syrian people wanted Alasad gone, wouldn't Alasad would be gone already? Trust me Syrians fear nothing but GOD, thus the power and the will people can't be stopped no matter what weapon you use or what you do... because nothing can stop the anger of the people.. so how come Alasad still in power?

Do you really think there will be democracy in Syria post-Alasad? Didn't you see Iraq? Libya? and etc......

Again Alasad has proposed many times to hold dialogues and even elections UNDER THE UN EYES... but the outside "opposition" and the west always refuse, why???

Last question... why is it bothering you if Syrians want Alasad for now? I don't care what you people call him... a dictator or stuff like that... all it matter to us Syrians is a strong leader who won't kneel down to the west. We Syrians want to keep Syria independent and sovereign... and the outside opposition is already under the west's control...

SYRIA IS FOR SYRIANS...
