"Turkey has stepped up retaliation efforts after the Daesh terrorist organization intensified attacks targeting Turkey, as a group of 15-20 Turkish Special Forces entered Syria for reconnaissance and preparation for Turkey's retaliation.
The operation started at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday and lasted four hours.
The Turkish military aims to end Daesh attacks and declare a safe zone in the south of Turkey's Kilis province, according to anonymous sources who spoke to Yeni Şafak daily.
The Turkish military killed 55 Daesh terrorists by mortar shelling in the north of the Syrian city of Aleppo on Saturday evening, according to military sources. The shelling also took out three vehicles and three rocket installations, the military sources added." YeniŞafak
"Turkey hit 2144 Daesh targets and eliminated 1172 terrorists in Syria and Iraq since August 2015.
As many as 807 of the total terrorists neutralized were in Syria,and the remaining 365 in Iraq.
Since the Daesh attacks intensified, Turkey responded with barrel rocket launcher batteries and tank shootings as retaliatory measures were ramped up, particularly in the border region.
Along with the land forces' efforts, Turkey located targets using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and manned reconnaissance aircraft (GCP) which assisted in the capture of 388 Daesh terrorists along with 82 PKK/PYD terrorists.
Also in Iraq, Turkey provided train-equip support to the military personnel of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government.
During the training, one Turkish soldier was martyred and 10 others wounded.
More than 365 Daesh terrorists were killed in the Turkish counterattack."
