Structural improvement project of F-16 Block 30 series

F-16 planes, which constitute the main striking power of the Turkish Air Force, have been flying in our air space for 30 years. Starting from 1987, the first series for the structural improvement project for Block 30 will be manufactured at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facilities in Ankara.

TAI and the main designer Lockheed Martin will have a project to reinforce the body and wings of a total of 33 aircraft. With this modification, it is anticipated that the flight times of Block 30 series will be increased. In TAI's work, one single seat C and one double seat D model will be imported and the modification will be carried out. These kits will come from Lockheed Martin to help strengthen it.

It is anticipated that the modifications of the remaining planes will be completed by 2018, after the completion of the project by the end of the year.
