"A WWII like total war scenario is possible and Turkey is one of the best prepared countries in the world. Turkish military is training for every possible scenario." Admiral Zeki Aktürk said.

Who will Turkey fight in WW3. Turkey lost Ottoman empire in WW1 and stayed out of WW2. Since then it is part of NATO.

Actually, WW3 already took place. It was called the cold war, fought in weaker countries by the two superpowers. Next world war should be atleast number 4.

Good question, I haven't got the slightest clue. But this statement could be a veiled threat against a country considering it didn't make news in most mainstream media outlets in Turkey.

Personally, I don't think anybody is insane enough to attack Turkey other than terrorist groups with nothing to lose.

Too bad Turkey didn't respond when Israel boarded the aid ship bound for Gaza some years ago, murdering people on it.

Turks were ballsy against Cyprus and didn't care what US would do. Should have sunk Israeli naval boats as they returned - ready to escalate like a mad dog which Israel respects/fears. Sending aid ship without armed escort was a mistake.

US would have scrambled diplomatically to contain the war to keep its empire from falling apart. Something Arabs don't understand, they watch and do nothing as Israel slaughters women and children by the tens of thousands.

Typical erdoganism, he sent that boat but he acted like he had nothing to do with it afterwards.

It's not Turkish Army's job to save Gaza.

I lost respect for Erdogan. Cannot take on Israel, but ready for WW3. How about that.

I didn't expect Turkish army to intervene in Gaza, but Turkey did not militarily respond to Israel after it illegally boarded the boat murdering Turks. I am not sure if it would be different if it was someone other than Erdogan.

The boat was going to Gaza which is not Israeli territory. This is also part of what emboldened Israel. Israel has been whacking Turks, Syrians, Iranians, Iraqis, Tunisians, and others with no harsh action. I remember Israeli agents went into Dubai and killed a Palestinian. The Iranian response after dozens of whacking was carefully crafted not to harm Israeli lives.

The issue is non-Jew Middle easterners have a very low respect for their own selves. This is dangerous as the Islamophobic world is emboldened to devalue Muslim lives. That is how they see you even if you don't consider yourself Muslim.

Those are Israeli government ministers talking of greater Israel. Israeli soldiers wear a patch of the map which includes a small piece of Turkey. I guess it is the Turkish Arab part. Syria has an eye on that area too. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Jordan, and Egypt already behave as deputies of the greater Israeli empire. If regime change happens in Syria and Iraq, greater Israeli empire is quite plausible. Israel will become leader of the middle east, while America steps aside watching Israel's back. If OIC isn't disbanded, they will become vassals and tributaries of Israel.

No they aren't. Turkey can't take back a single inch of the Ottoman Empire, they can't take an inch from the far weaker Greece as is the case with the mighty powerful Nuclear power Pakistan in Kashmir. But Turkey is superior in tech, have far better economy than Pakistan. They have some decent military industrial capability but nothing to brag about. They aren't even a regional power let alone be able to influence a global conflict like a world war. That's simply a hilariously uncalled for chest thumping activity.

None of the Muslim country's leadership has the balls to even threaten a tiny bully like Israel. I am not talking about taking actions but even merely throwing some verbal tantrums to the Israel.

Erdogan actually throws a lot of verbal punches against Israel, but actions do not match. It took what, 8 months after the genocide for Turkey to announce export restrictions with a waiver for another 3 or 4 months, not including Azeri oil. That is based on reports I read. Contrast this with immediate actions Turkey took against the genocidal Assad regime, such as cutting off all ties along with military actions and posturing. Goes back to my point that 'Arabs and Muslims' easily and eagerly attack and kill Arabs and Muslims. They have no respect for each other, which is why OIC is a farce and a danger to minority muslim communities under persecution and Islamophobia.

Taking the above into account, Ottoman empire/caliphate played an essential role keeping the peace in MENA.
