ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey’s operation in Syria’s Kurdish-controlled Afrin region has started “de facto” with cross-border shelling, but no troops have gone into Afrin, Turkish Defence Minister Nurettin Canikli said on Friday.

In an interview with broadcaster AHaber, Canikli also said Turkey was developing weapons systems against anti-tank missiles used by the Syrian Kurdish YPG.

We already shell them to hell already for one week or long since drones collected enough intelligence about targets. Real operation will start after we collobarate with Russia for air operation.

Why Turkey invades another city in another country...?!

And people here are dealing with that thing by saying (go Turkey.....Kill them all...!)
There are people killed there.....it is not a Football game.:(

There is no more country ... that so called Syria... is a patchwork of everything of every nation...
Syria is no more since half a decade now...

It' sbetter to get a power inside it..;that will keep away Air strikes (from RU and ASSad) every few seconds on the civilians in the north... but that you don't speak about...do you...

Turks aren't interested in taking Syrian land, we respect Syria's territorial integrity. The YPG is a threat to our country's safety thus we're only interested in the elimination of the YPG. The YPG is a big threat to Syria's territorial integrity. Israel supports an independent Kurdistan in order to gain a buffer with Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey, as well as in order to have a fighting force in the neighbourhood at Israel's beck and call. Israel in the past supplied Kurds with arms and training and had military and intel operatives active in areas with a huge Kurdish population in Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria. Israel wants the Kurds for decoys, front fighters, a buffer zone. It is not above Israeli motives to secretly instigate volatile relations between Kurds and Turkey or Iran in order to create a barrier for themselves using another entity as its shield. A fragmented Syria with a Kurdistan segment would suit Israel. Turkey won't allow Israel to create a second terrorist state in our region.

Why Turkey invades another city in another country...?!

over 30% of Syrian Territory was invaded by The US-Israel and YPG Terrorists to divide Syria's Territorial integrity

and their target is TURKEY and Iran

so Turkey will clean Turkish borders from the Terrorists

See..; you are blind... and do not care about civilians...
Never you asked yourself...Who are under those Air strikes every hour in Syria? do you...
Never you asked yourself who killed 400+K syrians in 7 years? do you...

Always blinded by this Erdogan..; or MB or whatever escuse you may find...
I don't care less about them or those you give escuses to... If a civilian is safe..; that's what count... nothing more, nothing less...
And to hell Syria lands... Only one priority... Innocents to be safe.

And you ask... why this and this...
Remember what you said on Sudan... and those who have the same flag as you... They are calling for war too and even genocide... see..;same sh*t, different name...

I’m ok if the country next to you is in turmoils or civil war .... you protect your borders even if you go through the international borders......but didn’t Turkey knew that Israeli support to Kurds during Turkish-Israeli mutual military cooperation a few years ago....?!

Sure thing....we follow Middle Ages Europe ,WWI and WWII....but we cannot reach your score yet:enjoy:
Today's world is different from the middle ages and colonial era period where it was a man eat man situation. Today the world is more interconnected, globalised, and people are far more educated/self aware and informed than in the past.So people value life much more nowadays and people are more aware of what is going on around the world since they have access to any information they might need /want at their disposal. So it's easier for countries and people to modernise and adopt the right policies needed for prosperity and stability than any time before in history. So comparing conflicts of interests in today's world to that of the past is very different.

However, having said that, I believe there has always been conflict of interests between world powers around the world. The Middle East and Africa just happen to be the playing ground for such military power play. However it is not restricted to this region. For other regions its more economic, diplomatic than military.

.but didn’t Turkey knew that Israeli support to Kurds during Turkish-Israeli mutual military cooperation a few years ago....?!
Its not a zero sum game. You can't just cut off all relations/ties to anither country just because you have some disagreements or conflict of interest in some issues. Else there will be no relations /trade/ties between China and the U. S, Russia and Europe/West, China and Japan, Turkey and Greece, South Korea and Japan, Egypt and Israel, etc etc.
So governments shouldn't be (and are not) too simplistic and emotional like the common man. Else you will have a North Korea situation.
