Turkey is set to invade Syria, as the country had been threatening in recent months, with the U.S. saying it will remove all of its forces from the "immediate area," according to the White House.

The news came late Sunday after President Donald Trump spoke to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by phone earlier in the day.

"Turkey will soon be moving forward with its long-planned operation into Northern Syria," the White House said in a statement late Sunday. "The United States Armed Forces will not support or be involved in the operation, and United States forces, having defeated the ISIS territorial 'Caliphate,' will no longer be in the immediate area."

The White House also confirmed that Turkey will take possession of all captured ISIS fighters from the past two years.

"The United States Government has pressed France, Germany, and other European nations, from which many captured ISIS fighters came, to take them back, but they did not want them and refused," the U.S. said in its statement. "The United States will not hold them for what could be many years and great cost to the United States taxpayer."

Trump and Erdogan agreed to meet at the White House in November, Turkish state media reported, though the White House did not mention that in its statement.

Negotiators from the U.S. and Turkey had reached an agreement Aug. 7 to create a safe zone in northeastern Syria in order to secure the territory once held by the Islamic State.

The deal came after Erdogan had threatened to take up an offensive against the U.S.-backed Kurdish forces that had helped eliminate ISIS. Turkey considers the Kurdish forces -- the PKK and YPG -- terrorist organizations.

But the agreement was only a stopgap with Erdogan repeating those calls in recent weeks.

Today, is the anniversary of the events initiated by KCK(which is the the PKK/YPG/PJAK's urban structure) in 2014, causing the 46 deaths and wounding of 682 citizens in the October 6-8 events .

One of the martyrs was our Kurdish son, 16-year-old YASIN BÖRÜ. He was lynched by pkk militants while distributing sacrificial meat to the elderly and the poor people.

What can westerners who make PR on behalf of Pkk say today about the pain of thousands of our sons?

The pain within us never ceases. Now , we saying :

Bismillâhirrahmânirrahîm
(3:151) We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve for what they have associated with Allah of which He had not sent down [any] authority. And their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the residence of the wrongdoers.

What was the deal that made them settle their agreement?

Title is misleading. What we gonna do is to setting a safezone, cleaning the dirts with-in that and as in Iraq probably establishing some bases. Then millions of Syrians can go back to their lands after we set up the order. We are not invading Syria.

For Turkey this is highly beneficial move, It will get to send 3 million refugees back and the bonus is these refugees are not anti Turkey so this will create a large buffer zone state around the border area and with 3 million friendly Syrians next to Turkey, it will bring trade, stability and security. This will also be a big challenge to YPG as firstly they will loose territory and also have a new challenge right next to them rather than across the border. It's a win situation for Turkey and the Syrian people who can finally go back home and rebuild their lives

Well these 3 millions are not going to create a state.

Well these 3 millions are not going to create a state.

A state as in a region/province in syria that will be pro Turkey and secure enough to bring the Syrians back and rebuild their lives.

Why does turkey wants to instigate war again.
Asad won the last one
Despite US support to The rebels
What can turkey do which CIA couldn't

Turkey wants to capture some more land from the YPG and Isis and hand it over to the Syrian refugees. They will not be taking land from the Syrian government. The only downside I see is Turkey will let in MB and allies and this will not be acceptable to Egypt, Saudi and UAE. So more bigger enemies will be created but to make YPG weaker it is a good plan

Safe zone map which will become a buffer zone between Turkey and YPG. This will bring peace at Turkey and Syria border.

First time I have seen a clever move by Turkey otherwise Syria was not anti Turkey so it was a mistake to support the opposition. This destroyed Syria and 1000s died, also made the YPG very strong.

Westerners are so angry. Went on twitter and saw their reaction, they certainly don't like this.
