I don't wanna undermine Turkey and the Gulf countries' role in Syrian civil war. However ignoring the West's role completely is extremely simplistic and unrealistic.
Turkey didn't start the Greater Middle East Project, didn't nurture and cultivate the Arab Spring, didn't invade Iraq and Afghanistan -which is the most important cause why we see ISIS today-, didn't bombard Libya and should I go on?
Sure Turkey's Erdogan and AKP wanted to play imperialist and supported a lot of groups in Syria. And this is extremely controversial in Turkey. Millions of Turk is very very unhappy with what AKP did in Syria. However thinking that entire responsibility of Syrian civil war is on Turkey and Saudi Arabia is extremely simplistic, irrelevant and straight up dumb.
