Turkey may be divided by 2030: Intel report

A new report from the U.S. National Intelligence Council claims the possible formation of Kurdistan may affect Turkey's unity in upcoming years.

One of six scenarios presented in the report consisted of a rising Kurdistan, which in turn affects Turkey's territorial unity by carrying a risk of separation.

Turkey will also play an increasing role in the international arena and will have a wider influence in global affairs, the report said.

The report suggested that European countries should keep the possibility of Turkey's accession going, as well as the negotiations.

The report further stated that Turkey, among countries like Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico and South Africa may witness an economic rise. Russia, Japan and Europe, however, may undergo an economic decline, according to the report.

Further scenarios included a decline in the "superpower" status of the United States, with the country becoming “first among equals” in a new multi-polar world order.

China, however, is mentioned as a "slowly rising" global power that will "remain a top-tier player in Asia."

Meanwhile, Islamist terrorism may be over by 2030, the report read.

Hürriyet is one of Turkey's biggest newspapers, but I don't understand why the other thread was closed. What difference does it make which media publishes an official report? A report is a report, it doesn't make any difference whether it's published by the reliable "Jew York Times" or evil Iranian Press tv?

Just like some 'experts' in west keep saying that Pakistan is a failed state and will dismember in 6 months!!!

Turk Kurd war is inevitable. Therefore we need Arab support to balance Jew Kurd alliance. By 2030, there wont be a USA, at least in ME.

this is think tank report like brain gymnastics...every year many reports issued about the best and the worst probabilities related to future on countries ....

The chance of such a probabelity is very low...Turkey's Kurds are best and most integgrated Kurdish group in marriage and in field of social ,economic, cultur etc...However Kurds is an Indo-Aryan people they are much more integared with Turks than with Persian in their country...

After islamic revolution Iran regime externalize Indo-Aryan Kurd from high grade sivil officer jobs, military duty and economic activity due to their sect, Sunni..But there are no such restriction for Kurds in Turkey..

about 2 month ago i was chating with some Iranian Kurdish businesmen...They said however they applied several times Iran regime dont give them permission of an exchange office..They were astonished about freedoms in Turkey...

But there is still some constitutional ban toward Kurdish ethnic ID..it may be figure out by new constitution....
PKK already has its own legal party,BDP in Turkish Parliament..BDP is more struggling than PKK to create an ethnic seperation...
BDP despite make an alliance with left-wing parties they get 6-7% in each election...7% makes only %20-%25 of Kurd...Ruling AKP almost get vote of Kurds two times more than BDP...

In truth Turkey may gain more territory at the expense of Syria, and later perhaps ex Iraq.

But,on the other hand:

The European Commission Against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) reports that (as of April 2010): "The public use by officials of the Kurdish language lays them open to prosecution, and public defence by individuals of Kurdish or minority interests also frequently leads to prosecutions under the Criminal Code." From the 1994 briefing at the International Human Rights Law Group: "the problem in Turkey is the Constitution is against the Kurds and the apartheid constitution is very similar to it."

I'm not saying Kurds of Iran have best rights in the world, because they don't.But at least I'm sure they have no difference with other ethnic people living in Iran. They are most respected. Also,we don't call them 'Mountain Turks' or 'Animals',one thing I've saw most Turkish members here call them.Believe me,the level of racism against Kurds in Turkey is almost non-existent in Iran.

Look at your own country for God's sake, then speak about Iran.

I am really confused Turks And Arabs are Israel allies but at the same time you hate Israel ?

Who Said Turkey and Israel are allies? Israel is one of supporters of Kurdish separatism.

With this trend, i mean most of the Kurds both in Turkey and in the region favouring a US-Israeli backed Kurdish State, a war between Turks, Arabs, Kurds, and perhaps Iranians inevitable. Turks have No allies today.

My Sheikh said that I am seeing Turkey rising among the Muslim countries.

Tell your boys Azeris to stop supplying the zionists with gas/oil and you will see the zionists straighten up real quick.
