Commander of Turkish Air Force General Hasan Kucukakyuz lauded Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) efforts towards indigenisation, Radio Pakistan reported on Wednesday.

The Turkish commander called on Air Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan at the Air Headquarters on Wednesday to discuss relations, regional peace and security.

During the high-level moot, the PAF chief appreciated Turkey for having stood by Pakistan in the hour of need.

In February, Turkey offered mediation to ease tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi after the PAF struck down two Indian Air Force (IAF) jets and captured one pilot.
Amid rising hostilities along the eastern border, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated that he had a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart who maintained that Turkey was willing to mediate between the arch-rival nations Pakistan and India.

Pakistan & Turkey relations are on totally different level that very few may understand. We are walking the tide together and there is a lot more & deeper cooperation as compare to what it seems. A lot has been happening and agreed to support each other. In coming months or by next year, we will be seeing positive development hopefully.

.
Too much engaging in one side makes Turkey alienated from the other side, even puts in the same category of the engaged side in the eyes of the other side, which narrows possiblities and interests of Turkey in short/mid/long term just like in Syria, Palestine, Libya, Egypt, Iraq etc..

Unfortunately, the current government does not take lesson and act by emotionally not ratioanlity.

India is not enemy of Turkey, frankly offers more mutual opportuinites not only in defence but science, trade etc.; therefore, the same approach must be shown by Turkish side towards India at the same time.

Stick to the topic folks. Every thread on Turkey-Pakistan relations does not have to turn into a back and forth over the Uighar issue in China.

There can be disagreements on issues between friends - we can't all agree 100% on everything. Pakistan and Turkey disagree on their respective approaches towards Chine over the Uighar issue - leave it at that. The Turkish government understands what Pakistan's constraints are with respect to China and also understands that Pakistan, with its weak economy, needs Chinese support, especially given the Hindutva terrorist running India currently, hence Turkish-Pakistani relations remain strong at the official level.

The problem is not the Turks and the Chinese here its us we dont understand the basics of how geo-politics works we dont think in rational terms how diplomacy works as a public, let me ask a person in Ankara, Istanbul or Beijing or Shanghai if they support Pakistan or know Pakistanis most probably they would say dont know, dont care or have vague knowledge about us whereas Pakistanis would probably know "sing song" praises of both nations from our politicians and state level adminstrators, we have very little in culture that is close to China or Turkey despite them being Muslim anyways, I hope people will learn one day to spilt away the people from those nations to policymakers then as a nation we have matured

Whatever issues Turkey has with the Uyghurs is their issue why TF we need to push their Pan-Turkic narrative which is not ours anyways same with the PRC why should we side with them with Taiwan issue I get One China policy but having trade relations with ROC wont be a bad thing in my opinion

Nice try. Turkey should trade and move their business with Pakistan and Indonesia
because there’s a huge trade imbalance with India.
In 2016, Turkey's trade trade deficit with India was $5,105 billion . We imported $5,757 billion of goods and services while exporting $0,652 billion.

No relations are based on zero-sum games when it comes to countries. Glad to see Turks see the pragmatic side of foreign policy. There is absolutely no enmity between Turkey and India and we see Turkey as good friends and commercial partners.

We may not agree on everything 100%, but definitely there is a lot of potential to cover between the two countries. Your relations with Pakistan are your own matter and our relations with Israel or anyone else is our own. This is something your leadership understands and is respectful.

I feel that India and Turkey must expand cooperation in science and technology, as well as research in agriculture and water management, which will be essential for our growing populations in the future.
