Turkey and Pakistan launched a joint navy exercise at Karachi, the Pakistani daily The News reported on Sunday.

"This series of bilateral exercise has been regularly conducted between Pakistan and Turkey on annual basis. This being the 12th exercise in Ayyildiz series, continued for 12 days," the daily said.

Turkey and Pakistan have signed nearly 60 defence cooperation agreements in recent years and their military consultation group, created in 2003, has been upgraded to a high-level cooperation council.

Turkey has become Pakistan’s second-biggest arms supplier, after China, and their improved ties are the result of several broader developments.

For instance, Turkey was the only country that backed Pakistan in its effort to join the Nuclear Suppliers’ Group and when it was put on the ‘grey list’ last year by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an intergovernmental organization founded on the initiative of the G7 to develop policies to combat money laundering.

Maybe it's just the picture but we really need to get our boys better gear.
I really don’t see much difference in effective gear there. Weapon mods are always to personal preference. Both have plate carriers and helmets, radios. Neither are wearing pads. The only difference I see is the pouches and full sleeved shirts. Which wouldn’t really matter in a training exercise. Plus it’s common to see troops at home ground carrying much less than visiting ones. Pakistani troops in exercises in other countries often look better equipped because there’s really no reason to be carrying all that in a shooting exercise.
That being said, full gear exercises are done too. The only thing it might improve is how they look in photos. Which doesn’t do much for a military.
(But honestly I wouldn’t mind them looking the part too I mean who does like a cool looking soldier.)
Check the photos, the on ground equipment is basically everything they could need.

Follow up: a few more. The First one is an SSG operator in turkey in 2016. See what I mean?

The Pakistani “commandos” also look malnourished.
So just by looking at one low resolution photo you deduced that he’s malnourished? I think it’s best we leave that to the doctors.
That’s being said. From what angle does he look malnourished? Pakistanis are generally smaller than people in developed countries due to passive factors, but if you look at the photos I posted plus general photos of soldiers. Some are really well built and some are really slim. I wouldn’t call that malnourishment. I’d call that genetics.

For example in this photo, Amir looks like nothing more than an average Pakistani of his height, but would you ever call him average?

Nope he is right, that is one skinny fellow. Doesnt the navy have built requirements like the army and airforce?

Edit: all except a few look skinny in those pics, like teenagers compared to fullt grown adults. Shameful

Hi,

That is a lean & mean soldier that can be deployed to high altitude war within a few days---.

OTOH---a muscular heavy built trooper can barely fight at 7500 ft altitude---. That is why US military never covered the high mountains of AFG against the taliban---.

There is heavy steroid use in the US military---over built massive muscles---good for show---but not much on function in adverse conditions---.

He actually is malnourished, specially his legs and guts. And I am not joking. Whenever something lands clean his legs cannot hold him.
