What's new

Tunisia foils an UAE-sponsored coup.

how should I know people don't show their ID online lol.
the thing is Turkey has a bad track record in finding friends in region last experience was HTS. last month they were calling their leader pasha now they are doing sucide attacks on Turkish troops.

I tend to agree that arabs and Turks dont go along well, this is due to history. The arabs claim to be rightful leaders of muslims and the khilafat should be with them but the last one were Turks. Its natural as arabs and Turks are competitors for muslim leadership.
Other than arab world, Turkey actually has a good reputation. From Pakistan to west china, Turkmenistan, central asia, north Africa, all have good views and respect for Turks.

About the topic: i think UAE should contain itself. It is involved at too many fronts and is attracting too much attention. Already FATF stick is swinging. They have money but that can save them for a while and not forever. The western allies of UAE would suddenly backstab UAE if the public opinion in west goes too far.

. . .
North African countries view Turkey same as Ukraine and Baltic countries view Russia. Former rulers but now independent country.

What are you talking about?? The Ottomans did not outright conquer North Africa hence why Tunisia and Algeria were ruled automonous but semi independant. They ruled as they like all they had to do was pledge their support and allegiance to the Ottoman Sultan.

A lot of North Africans have a Turkish ancestor especially in the coasts of Algeria and Tunisia. Look at their flags from Algeria to Libya they are all based on Ottoman armed forces flags.

. .
Ottoman was ruled by Turks, a people who didn't even speak a Semitic language. So it is natural they did not like Turkic rule.
Pakistan was not part of it at all but guess what we in Pakistan have deep warmth and love for Ottoman Empire. Most of us Pakistanis will not even think twice if given option to join it.

A lot of ottoman soldiers and traders settled in Pakistan during Mughal times.

Ottomans sent volunteers to fight for Babur. Many were rewarded to stay.

I really wonder who will protect UAE when the arrows showed them. A small country that is equal to the size of a few Turkish cities is making too much noice in this region.

A volley of BMs or CMs from Somalia would end a lot of trouble and headache for the world.

Anyways that's not the topic so I'll debate no more on that. Thanks.

Be my guest and learn the language. You're speaking to someone who's an avid learner of languages. Turkish and Urdu are miles apart. Different SOV, SVO word placement. Different rootwords and morphology. Turkish is agglutinative, Urdu is not. Urdu is far more similar to Bengali and Gujarati than Turkish.

There is nothing you can do against UAE, just helpless watching it.
Nature and stupid leadership will take care of it, we we need to do is drink cay and be patient.

Crescent and moon isn't unique to Turkey. Pakistan flag also has it. Crescent and moon on some north African flags has nothing to do with Ottoman.
And why do you think that Pakistan flag has it too Mr. genious?

There is no friendship in international relations, just look at the organizations that Turkey is part of, i'd say you dont need to worry about Turkeys FP.
