Tubitak Sage Started Developing Air-To-Air Missile

Can the BVR & WVR missiles be integrated on our F-16s & our JF-17s ? :undecided:
Yes, quite possible. F16s' source codes were given to Turkey recently, we can integrate our own national wepons and sub-systems without wasting time with bureaucracy.

I don't know if there will be any legal difficulties since i don't remember in what terms US sold F16s to pakistan but after that, we can do the integration by a fairly simple procedure.

About JF17, I don't think we have any knowledge on chinese software. You can either buy the missiles and introduce them to JF17s' avionics by yourselves or you can do as the Ir. Tab. suggested ;)

Are you sure about that? There was a news which was saying US is willing to give the codes of F16s to Turkiye, but it was not confirmed. Do you have any source to share with us about the codes?

Edit: Nevermind, I got the answer.

We already have them how do you think we integrated SOM to F-16? F-16's codes are yesterday's story today we going after F-35's codes with UK.

Edit: I searched and found, it seems we have got the source. I did not know that that is a great news.

About the F-35 source codes, we insistently wanted/want the source codes of F-35s but US denied/denies all the time. US told Turkiye that they do not share the source codes even with Israel. I do not think in the near future we will get the source codes of F-35s. Also, if you remember Turkiye delayed the purchase of the F-35 several times because of the source codes. But later, we decided to buy. I hope we can get the source of F-35s as well.

Cabatlı, do you have the article about Turkish TDL Project in S&H?

I think we can work Together with Pak and China on JF-17 Variant that fullfill western NATO Standart, this JF-17 Variant can be equippt with turkish made Missiles and Avionics. A JF-17 Variant based on western Standart can be promoted to various potential Customers, espicialy in North Africa, Central and south Asia. If Turkey deepen Military Cooperation with north african States, their JF-17 can communicate with Link-16 Modems with our MESA AEW&C Plant in likly joint Operations !

Wishful thinking, first of all it's not like there's a demand for NATO systems, and second it's not like NATO to give away technology to others certainly not to China.

PAF was in Negotiations with France about Integration of french Avionic and Weapons System on Future Stealthy Variant of JF-17, there is no Reason to not integrate Turkish made Avionics and Weapon Systems ! I don't speak about giving Technology to China, I speak about integration of turkish made Technology(NATO Standart) into JF-17 Frame !

AA is a cutting edge technology, top technology in seeker, processing, guidance, propulsion, aerodynamics and all that should sustain forces up to ~70G

Considering the ramjet experience of Turkish institutes, I'm waiting for a Turkish R-77M1.

People Pakistan didn't procure a license from China to build a Chinese made plane right here in our country ! We were involved in its design & prototype productions from day 1 as part of a joint-venture between our two countries. There is nothing about the JF-17 that we haven't access too because we designed it. Our programmers along with their Chinese counterparts wrote all the software. We know the source code & everything that goes with it hence why we were in negotiations with the French for some avionics, how we integrated both Brazilian & South African missiles on it.

My question was more to the tune of : Would Turkey sell them to us to integrate the missiles that you guys are coming up with onto the JF-17.

P.S The Chinese version is called the FC-1 & ours is called the JF-17 ! The same way our MBT is called the Al-Khalid whereas the Chinese one was MBT-2000. The difference goes well beyond the nomenclature but could be expressed briefly as 'Same platform evolving in different directions as per the different needs, wants & abilities of the two respective countries'.

P.P.S You can find out more about Pakistani contributions to the JF-17 by going through its 'thread' & the 'Information Pool'.

P.P.P.S Any technology that we have has some sort of access or knowledge sharing with the Chinese just as we've got access to much of what they produce...heck our boys have been flying their Su-30s to get a better idea of the Indian MKIs ! Hence how Pakistani Pilots & Engineers took their expertise with respect to the F-16s & helped in the development of both the JF-17 & the J-10B.

Then theres no reason why we wouldn't integrate our missiles to JF-17 , if you remember there was bilboard on a ceremony where JF-17 was listed as a operating platform for SOM.But is Pakistan even need a missile we developed? As far as i know Pakistan far more advencad than us when it comes to missile technology.
