Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan central spokesperson Muhammad Khorasani on Wednesday denied any involvement in an attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, contradicting an earlier admission by the group claiming the attack.

Refuting TTP commander Umar Mansoor’s claims that the militant group was behind the attack, Khorasani in an email sent to media men said, “The TTP and its amir Maulana Fazaulllah have nothing to do with the attack.”

“We consider these youth studying in non-military educational institutes as our future, they are Muslims and their protection is our responsibility,” he stated.

“Those people who used the name of the Taliban in the attack will be tried in sharia courts,” the email added.

Earlier, senior TTP commander and the mastermind of the Army School Attack in December 2014, Umar Mansoor, claimed responsibility for the assault and said it involved four of his men. He also warned, “Universities, cadet colleges and army schools will be targeted in Pakistan.”

At least 21 people were killed and over 30 others injured as a group of militants stormed Bacha Khan University in Charsadda on Wednesday morning. Firing and blasts were heard from inside the campus as the army carried out a clearance operation.

The militants, using the cover of thick, wintry fog, scaled the walls of the Bacha Khan University before entering buildings and opening fire on students and teachers in classrooms and hostels, police said.

The gunmen attacked as the university prepared to host a poetry recital on Wednesday afternoon to commemorate the death anniversary of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, a popular ethnic Pashtun independence activist after whom the university is named.

The attack comes a little over a year after Taliban gunmen stormed Army Public School in December 2014 and slaughtered more than 150 people, most of them children, in an hours-long siege.

We did it.....Comes a call.......No No we didnt do it.....Though we have bombed number of Schools, Killed n numbers of students, Teachers but as that call came so now
We consider these youth studying in non-military educational institutes as our future, they are Muslims and their protection is our responsibility,” he stated.
Seems they expected a reaction of Nation against Pakistan Army but things went totally opposite way esp when BOSS landed at BKU.

Then who was responsible and why did Umar Mansoor claim responsibility? We need to go after these people and improve our intelligence network. We have failed utterly against terrorists who attack us daily. This is a shut up call to everyone who says the security situation is improving. A string of attacks daily in 4 days.

Sometimes I really do sympathize with the claims that we are not doing enough against militancy. Isn't it our duty first to protect our citizens and stop these attacks by being pro active-meaning we gain proper intelligence and act before the Taliban attack us.

Another thing is look at India. A simple attack that killed barely 7 men and they are thinking about fencing the border. What is holding us back from doing the same with Afghanistan's border? We have become invulnerable to death. We see so much of it that the lives of the dead or injured barely matter. It is a daily occurrence for us.

what is the difference ? their job done we lose and that is it

Yeah we believe what these b@stard is saying.

The lion is not brave but the hunting is its compulsion for food. Every hunter is brave for its hunt. Mullah fazlullah or Umer mansoor, they are the killer of the rent. They have been used in this events on the indication of USA or India.

We don't care.. We will kill all the terror organization . intact we must kill them for our survival is based upon it.. We cannot sit back idly.

The border of Afghanistan must be fenced. Money is not an issue as not a single Pakistani will take death of children over saving money. We will pay ourselves if we have. Just build it !! While we must do covert operations against the TTP in Afghanistan.

Real test od RS to go in war inside afgan govt is a probleum doing nothing leting india free hand to finance terror always make fake promises time to take afghan govt from neck

There are some things i wanna say but i will get banned for saying those. So i better keep them in my head. This whole state from ttp spokesman is BS

I hate TTP but when they do any crap they proudly claim it to. It seem TTP has divided into more groups and the group who claimed responsibility is a splinter group. If this splinter thing is true than countering TTP would become a little more difficult.

Bloody dastardly act! RIP those who lost their lives. Excellent job by the security services in clearing up and neutralizing the terrorists.

There is no splinter group. They are all one and the same. For Pakistan anyone part of TTP is an enemy. And Pakistan would have to target them. No other choice.

he must have read my post about justifying this attack ---- and though, holy crap we never thought of this --- they are on to us, quickly run to net cafe in XYZ town in Afghanistan and send an email :D

Our border is fenced. We aim to fence areas which are marshy or water borne. On the other hand, we should collectively flog the politicians on either side for the fact that daily death is accepted. Only South Asia has this attitude to accept own country(wo)men being killed. Shame.

I agree. It is ominous sign if splintering of the group into more disperse groups is taking place.
