Words , gestures and statements are meaningless and cheap. Numbers is what I am talking about. Sure that anti-terrorist drive reduced numbers but it could not stop either APS or Bacha Khan or other recent attacks.
The proof of pudding is in the eating. Structural changes are required in both Islam and pakistani psyche to stop terrorism. Kicking the ball uphill is not a solution.

Your argument ignores the fact that European imperialism that created dumb borders, propped up secular dictators, and started war after war in the middle east, is to blame. Hell, even the Jammu and Kashmir is the main fault of the Brits.

You criticize, without understanding, while not offering a proper solution. What is it that Pakistan should do? What are these structural changes that need to happen? Why? What are the root causes of the problems? Why are they the root cause? If you cannot seriously answer these questions, your entire argument falls apart (which it has).

Rescue ranger I would kiss you in happiness if what you say is true and we are actually building a wall along the border.. I understand it can't be a hundred percent but its a start and later on can be improved and extended to mark the entire border... We need this wall desperately and as I said in another thread that I would happily pay for that wall for 20 years but less cross birder movements mean that terrorism will lessen even more.

Despite the horrendous attacks of this nature we have mitigated terrorism in Pakistan to low and thus should ensure to take steps to make sure to lessen it even more...
The onus lies on the govt as well. NAP must be implemented fully. I mean how can one say Pakistan is secure when moulvi burka threatened aggressive attacks if arrested and the govt is just doing nothing here. This incompetence cannot go on.

At the same time the military must focus all resources on hunting down those cheifs who are operating in Afghanistan. We can't keep them alive.

What about characters such as that (Qadri?) guy that killed your governor. Or the villagers that burned that Christian couple alive or the Blasphemy supporters .. or the TV cleric that makes anti-Ahmaddiya statements everyday?
Islam has a long 1400 yr history of wiping out any difference of opinion / change of view.... this is the big problem that the world faces today. I am typing this from Venezuela where the Inflation rate clocked at 141% this year and the poverty is mind boggling... It is still more civilized and next year when inflation hits 720% it'll be relatively better that ANY I repeat ANY muslim country in the world. (one possible exception Turkey although not sure how long that would last. )

Yes, but they couldn't cross the border with weapons at free will, with complete impunity, because of these new measures. We were able to catch their facilitators within our borders.

What I was trying to highlight that we need more stringent measures, all loopholes need to be blocked. This "free for all" movement across border needs to be stop. I am sure our Pakhtoon brothers will understand this that times have changed, and these "family links" across the border is causing harm to them and their children.

This post will be there even when we build the ******* wall, isnt it? This relax attitude to allow the Afghans entry into Pakistan is a big loophole which needs to be plugged and no wall , no trench will be able to protect our citizens if we are this ch***** mechanism on our border check posts.

You have no concept of physical security, been on the forum for a couple of days and talking like your the dog's balls. Listen go sit peacefully in Manchester, Birmingham or London, or wherever in the UK you are and leave Pakistan's security to the professionals who know what they are doing.
