Anti-Pakistan TTP leaders offered 'foreign passports' by sponsors to avoid extradition

Islamabad: Reports reaching here from Afghanistan say that certain foreign sponsors of anti-Pakistan TTP leaders are now being offered foreign identity and a temporary refuge in a neighbouring country to avoid Islamabads demands for extradition of terrorists.
Reliable sources told Pakistan Observer that those who are being offered temporary travel documents (TTD) to several TTP leaders so as to counter the demand by Islamabad for extradition of Pakistan nationals. TTDs are good for limited travel during a limited period.
The sources say that Mullah Fazlullah and at least five other TTP leaders are among those advised by their foreign masters to go missing from their hideouts in Afghanistan and accept foreign identity so that Kabul can rightly claim that no Pakistan Taliban were in Afghanistan and that no one with same name or nationality was residing there.
Mullah Fazlullah is among those terrorists wanted by Pakistan on charges of managing the cell of three men who attacked Malala Yusufzai in Swat early this month. Source confirmed that Pakistan has provided Afghanistan with key intelligence information on the hideouts of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Kunar province and has demanded extraditions of some masters mind of Malala attack.
Afghan National Army (ANA) and NATO officials are hesitant to prevent cross-border militant attacks in Dir, Bajaur and Chitral while no firm action is being taken in Afghanistan.
Fazlullah and dozens of other TTP leaders crossed over to Afghanistan and were given refuge in Kunar and Nuristan after Pakistani security forces launched operation in Swat in 2009. Officials here believe that it was Fazlullah who formed three-member team to attack Malala Yusufzai. On October 29, 2012 another TTP leader Hamkeemullah Mehsud has denied any direct involvement confirming the reports of Fazlullahs role.
Early this year Pakistani officials conveyed deep concern over the repeated attacks by TTP militants on border posts of Pakistan Army and complained about inability of Afghan army and NATO forces to prevent cross border attacks.
Fazlullah and other TTP terrorists are hiding in Kamadesh and Chapa Dara districts in the border provinces of Nuristan and Kunar. Pakistanis are surprised over continued activities of TTP terrorists inside Afghanistan despite their known role in Malala Yusufzai attack. More recently Afghanistan has denied the presence of Pakistani nationals on Afghan soil. Pakistan officials have now taken up the issue of TTP terrorists with NATO commanders who have often pledged that their objective is to route out terrorists from Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar also took up the issue with US Special Envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Marc Grossman when he visited Islamabad on October 20.
Earlier this year on June 27, Nuristan security chief, Ghulamullah Nooristani accepted the presence of TTP terrorist Mullah Fazlullah and complained that he (Fazalullah) is creating havoc for locals charging illegal taxes, (but) ..We cant attack them because they are armed with light and heavy weapons, which are much better than ours. We will only be able to destroy their stronghold if we get support from the central government in Kabul or from the coalition forces.
