Trump says U.S. won’t sell F-35 fighter jets to Turkey

How about Turkey and Pakistan co develop the FC31 Airframe with Turkish and European subsystems along with EJ 200 engines......

Don't You forget the most important part? Chinas will to provide the FC-31 and honestly, given the latest German politics, you can completely forget the EJ200 too.

The most important thing is to see if Sanctions are coming. F-35s are not immediate priority. Turkey already has probably second best airforce in region. Sanctions OTOH will have very very adverse effects on already struggling economy. And there seems to be a bipartisan support for sanctions. Interesting times ahead for Turkish diplomatic corps.

Best thing that can happen for turkish aerospace and TFX is sanctions or at least ban from.f35 program. F35 cant go supersonic else ot will show up..do u really want that? People here are talking about american engines for TFX but theh have been talking to rolls Royce for a while. If the yanks push turkey then they can ask all Nato to leave. Now that will cause a mess considering the size of the turkish military. This is not easy for america. They screwed up. Here the Jewish lobby is going after turkey due to its stance against the zionist terror state of israel

Now its official. Turkey kicked from F-35 program. Turkish air force remains without 5 gen fighter and Turkish companies lose $12 billion worth contracts.

It cannot be stressed enough how a significant blow this is to Turkey's capabilities in the short and medium-term.

There is nothing out there, besides the F-22, that is capable of countering F-35s. China nor Russia have or will have a platform in the short and medium-term which will be capable of competing with the F-35, forget about J-20, FC-31 and SU-57.

Turkey has decided to depart on the difficult path of independence and home-grown designs, and may it be rewarded for it in the long-term.

Focus and money should be channelled towards the TF-X programme and the upgrading of F-16s to overcome the gap.

Would be a terrible thing if Greece bought F-35s before Turkey operationalizes the TF-X.

Didn't sell Patriots for nearly two decades and says we are undermine NATO/US with S-400 purchase, while in the same time building a Anti Turkish terrorist Army on our border and threatens with economic destruction. :cheesy:

We seriously should think about closing Bosphorus for US ships, closing Incirlik and other US radar bases, eradicate their proxies in Syria and cancel deals with US companies such as Boeing.
