There is other way Indonesian government could take to tackle this issue; they could ask chinese who support other government (china) to denounce their Indonesian citizenship and go to china instead discriminating the rest of chinese who wanted to be Indonesian citizen.

As Indonesian I am against China action on claim Indonesian EEZ, but I dont agree with hostility action toward China nor US; as I said before Indonesia should better be neutral, take advantage of good relationship with both nations instead of siding with US or with China. I don't support many of your threats that are provoking hostility toward China, because I dont think we are at war with China.

Because I am not a really active PDFer, and I am more interested with certain global issues esp china vs japan/us/europe competition, and yes I admire china progress.

I know you will say I am not nationalistic due to that preference, just like many native Indonesian like to judge; for me it is hypocrisy. Nationalistic doesn't mean you may not admire or interested with other nation's issue, nationalistic means we prefer and loyal to our own country over other country.

Chinese flying the KMT flag has nothing to do with them thinking Indonesia would be handed to China. That is absurd.

And why would most ethnic Chinese support the Indonesian Republic when the natives tend to be hostile and jealous of them? The best solution was for the Chinese to recognize their shitty fate in an Indonesian republic and actually organize a republic on Borneo for themselves, and that way they would extricate themselves from Indonesian society. That would've been the best solution.

Saying natives tend to be hostile and jealous of Chinese Indonesian is not right. 1966 is a communist massacre, most victim is native. 1998 Jakarta riots are more anti Soeharto and the most victims are also natives. The one who targets Chinese businesses and shops are criminals who will do the same to rich natives if they have similar opportunity. This criminals usually dont live and ever have Chinese friends during their life so they think Chinese are aliens to them, never got any emotional experience with Chinese Indonesian, so easily for them to hurt Chinese Indonesian businesses and shops. And it is surely clear that they are not a good Muslim. Normal people just stay home during the riots.
