Trump plans to sign bill pressuring China over Uighur Muslim crackdown

Thank You Mr Trump. Appreciate it. :usflag:

Yep, attention to dastardly evil actions of totalitarian degenerate CCP in relation to Uighurs (who CCP claim to be their citizens) should keep being highlighted as much as possible by all that dare speak up about it. If they want to project this as a "Trump thing"...maybe they should check first the bipartisan support on this matter in US political corridors.

@striver44 @fisher1 @KAL-EL @Hamartia Antidote @F-22Raptor @Get Ya Wig Split @xenon54 @T-123456 @-SINAN- @UkroTurk @Naofumi @Vergennes

No need to defend what ever your government do,

Its totalitarian mindset. It wont really be understood by other (normal) people. One moron in this forum even justified it to me just earlier that its "confucian" way. A week or two earlier, another moron among them said the same "Confucian" is too weak a mindset, and that only power matters and is be-all end-all thing to accumulate and have...at any cost.

@Joe Shearer saw it with his own eyes.

You can thus see how confused these people are in a very basic way. They have gone completely nutty on all this especially after so much was stripped away (physically, mentally, socially you name it) from their civilization cultural heritage by the "cultural revolution" (itself a visceral retaliation to resistance/temperance against the mao-made starvation famine).

Yet they want to outreach politically all the same on cultural history without addressing what their own attitude to what they did on themselves all is....like some amnesiac phantom memory victim projecting as saviour. It's a very different concept in existence to most countries of the world, quite impossible for others to really insert, understand and grapple with this complex. Give this hive-mind wide berth where possible as as much as you can....and cooperate with normal-thinking people (as much as we disagree with each other on whatever) outside it.

It's come to the point where you cannot compare their political leader to Winnie the Pooh in light humour way (inside their country)....when everywhere else these people love to attack/insult.... one can seriously and openly insult their own leaders/politicians in such places if they so desire to...and give them support when they see fit to as well.

Just stop and think to yourself why that is...and what will thus naturally stem from it in both cases.

I add anymore (in humorous vague way) I get banned from here @Jungibaaz ....so they can have the longer incisive spiel instead I guess.

It's all a very high IQ reaction by them (and the "powers" they have in their pocket here) after all.

The Story of Indonesian Islamic Organizations to Xinjiang A Closer Look at Uighur Muslims

The delegation of Indonesian Islamic Organizations (CSOs) consisting of Muhammadiyah, PBNU and MUI had the opportunity to visit Xinjiang, China to get a close look at the condition of the Xinjiang people, especially Uighur Muslims. During his visit, there were many things that were obtained and seen related to the condition of religious freedom in the Bamboo Curtain country.

The Chairman of MUI's Foreign Relations, Muhyiddin Junaidi said, initially the delegation of Islamic Organizations was invited by the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia to visit the Xinjiang Autonomous Region. (Also read: PP Muhammadiyah Issues 7 Statement on Uighur Muslim Attitudes)

Delegations of Indonesian Islamic Organizations numbered 15 people. Where every mass organization sends 5 people and three journalists from print and electronic media. Arriving in Beijing, the Indonesian Islamic Organizations delegation immediately exchanged with the Ambassador, followed by dinner and gave a brief description of Xinjiang.

"We met with the head of the CIA (China Islamic Association) which happened to be a new council or the Chinese Muslim Association. Not like Muhammadiyah or MUI. He is an extension of the government because there are no government organizations in China. All must be under government control in China," Junaidi said press conference at PP Muhammadiyah Office, Jakarta, Monday (12/16/2019).

When meeting with the CIA, the suspicions of Indonesian Islamic organizations' suspicions arose. It began when a delegation of Islamic Organizations wanted to be delivered to the nearest mosque for prayer in congregation but was not delivered on weather grounds. In fact, a guest request is usually granted or obeyed as much as possible even if only delivered to the mosque though. "From that moment on we began to suspect, we entered the hotel, indeed there was already a direction of Qibla in each room but it was clear the original and the new were different. We began to be suspicious," he explained.

Suspicions also arose when a reporter wanted to buy cigarettes out of the hotel, and the CIA representative readily refused to go out and buy him everything he needed.

The reporter returned to the hotel and told this to the Indonesian Islamic Organizations delegation. The next day, the CIA deputy chairman invited to the museum of acts of violence perpetrated by the Uighurs to the community in Xinjiang. "He was not convinced that the violence was carried out by the Uighur community as seen from the picture presented, but the name listed was similar to the Uighur community," he said.

The Indonesian Islamic Organizations delegation also visited other places and they increasingly believed there was no religious freedom there. "Visits to several places, mosques, Islamic institutes have increasingly convinced us that there is no religious freedom. Freedom of religion is rather difficult to prove. Why is that? The Chinese Constitution chapter 2 of article 38 says that the Chinese government gives citizens freedom of religion and non-religion, "he said.

After visiting the re-education center where the residents are Uighurs who practice their religion openly demonstratively. In fact, the constitution in China states, religion is applied in a closed room should not be open space, if taken to an open space is considered radical and should be taken to re-education.

"If you are radically sent to re-education center camps, you will be trained for 1 year there to understand the Chinese constitution and understand Mandarin because most Uighurs don't speak Mandarin. So, during re-education is not allowed to pray, read the Koran, it shouldn't be fasting, eating potluck. That's CCTV every corner. So gadgets should not be, cut off from the outside world. Now that's if you pray in an open space is considered radical, "he continued.

On Friday, Friday prayers are filled with grandparents in the same uniform, no children, young people who carry out worship on constitutional grounds. Because religion after 18 years is only allowed. If there is a mother who teaches religion to her children then it is considered radical. "Sadly, we discussed with the deputy chairman of the CIA. So the prayer was to be held for 8 months, for a month for a year," he explained.

After the visit, the delegation of the Indonesian Islamic Organizations immediately delivered the results of the visit to Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi. There were a number of points conveyed among them, the delegation asked the Chinese government to give freedom to Muslims to carry out their worship openly because it was guaranteed by the UN Charter.

"Yes, we handed it over to Mrs. Retno. There were a lot of points. But I didn't know that Mrs. Retno had summoned the Chinese Ambassador or not or had been submitted or not. "Hopefully the Foreign Minister has delivered the Chinese Ambassador who served in Indonesia," he said.

1.1 million civil servants in Xinjiang pair up with ethnic minority residents to improve unity
By Ji Yuqiao Source:Global Times Published: 2018/11/7 23:28:40

Northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region has implemented the pairing and assistance program between officials and the ethnic minority citizens to promote communication and interaction among different ethnic groups in Xinjiang.

Until September 2018, some 1.1 million civil servants have paired up with more than 1.69 million ethnic minority citizens, especially village residents, People's Daily reported on Wednesday.

The report said that various administrative departments, enterprises from the central government and military departments, including the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Xinjiang Armed Police Corps, have made over 49 million visits to local residents. The number of activities themed "ethnics unite as a family," held by these departments, reached more than 11 million.

"The pairing and assistance program has been implemented for two years, which is a successful practice for Xinjiang," Zhu Weiqun, former head of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing, told the Global Times on Wednesday.

Besides promoting the unity of different ethnics in Xinjiang, Zhu noted that the program is beneficial to both the masses and civil servants in Xinjiang, as it helps officials get close to the grassroots level of Xinjiang society, bringing advanced technology and views to rural districts, which can solve their life difficulties and develop the productivity.

"It can also help officials of Xinjiang to improve their serving conscious and capabilities," he added.

Zhu pointed out that the program should be insisted for a long time in accordance with the practical need.

The program began from October 16 in 2016, encouraging civil servants to interact actively with the masses in Xinjiang through various methods like pairing and regarding as relatives.

I don't see any problems. It's your judgement, base on your media. EITM is terrorist org recognized by UN and all Muslim countries(except Turkey), including all so called Turks majority countries, such as Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrghyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.

Sovereignty, Territorial Integrity, Stability and Prosperity are first priorities. As long as above prerequisites are met, every Chinese citizens can do whatever they want.

There are affirmative actions in China. As a Han Chinese, we are discriminated for past 70 years. Minority Chinese have much better benefit and social treatment than majority Chinese. They can go to top University with much lower grade. WTF, I have to learn 80 hours a week to pass the exam in the meantime.

I don't see you blame Malaysia, ethnic Chinese in Malaysia were discriminated for past 70 years. Hmm??

Government jobs are given to ethnic Malay only, and affirmative actions benefit majority Malay for past 70 years, hmm??? WTF.

You have no clue about China policy and ground reality, your judgement is just base on a piece of paper. So delusional.

Don't worry. In the future when the horrible details become clear and people tear at themselves in anguish...the current generation (with their heads in the sand) will make sure to feign complete ignorance to the younger generations who will scorn them for being so callous.

why he not take same action against Muslims being prosecuted in india and palestine,it shows his hipocracy and self interest behind this move, trump repeatedly spreaded hate against Muslims in his speeches during his election campaign so first he should look at his own character

No, it is not media tone reporting, but clear judgement and opinion from Indonesian delegation that was invited by Chinese government. And if there is no such thing as oppression why the delegation and journalist are always accompanied by Chinese official and they dont even let the journalist to buy a cigaret outside hotel ?

There is no rebellion in Xin Jiang like in Papua or Turkey Kurdish region. Even Indonesia never make any pressure to Papuan just like what Chinese do to Uigyur despite rebellion is much greater in Papuan region. Papuan are free to practice their religion which is Christian despite there is correlation between Christian Papuan to tendency to rebellion. Similar like Chinese government finding between Islam conservatism in Uigyur to rebellion tendency. So what has been done by Xi Jin Ping is totally over acting and not necessary, more like a punishment than an attempt to bring Uigyur closer to China national interest.

There is no rebellion like being seen in Papua, yet Xi Jinping punish Uigyur Muslim by spying their home bluntly and forced mass match making policy.

Rebellion in Papua

Uigyur live in their own region while Chinese Malaysian are immigrant. Not apel to apel comparison. But I am agree on you that discrimination should not be existed in Malaysia, despite so many Malaysian government money have been disbursed to build Kuala Lumpur infrastructure, including their modern transportation system, the city that are mostly inhabited by Chinese Malaysian. Affirmative action in Malaysia is also a product of negotiation between British and Malay Malaysian to let Chinese Malaysian live in Malaysia and become their citizen.

Ground reality is much more complex than your delegation observed in several days. I went to US, the first year, I am impressed, the longer I stay, the more I disappointed.

Some deep social issues can only be found when you live that for at least couple of months if you are very sensitive, or years.

You never been Xinjiang, you don't understand the history, you don't understand the root cause of social issues. Means must be taken, because we want to bring peace and prosperity to our people. Because we are Chinese, we will do it in a civilized way.

I don't see any big misbehavior. Minor issues, unavoidable.

Sanctions only work against weak countries. You can't harm strong countries by sanctions. So, it is pointless to sanction when it serves no purpose

.
There is actually an ongoing insurgency in Xinjiang which could be as bad as Turkey's Kurdish Region if not for those measures. Some Uighur might be better off moving to other areas of China because the Hui Muslims are pretty free to worship Islam as they please.
