Uighurs aren't being used in slave labor. I know there are some CIA funded articles trying to frame China establishing factories in Xinjiang as slave labor but that's called giving people jobs. China's main goal in Xinjiang is not to enslave or kill the Uighurs, it is to assimilate and govern them. That means curbing separatist thoughts but also providing economic opportunities, it is a stick and carrot game.

It doesn't really mean much when Chinese Indonesians can use Chinese names now, because their Chinese language skills have pretty much been erased.

Because their talents and hard work are just being drained by parasitic Indonesians who cannot build anything for themselves. That is why your huge country with a population almost equal that to the US has a smaller global footprint than Singapore, a city state of 4 million ethnic Chinese.
