President-elect of the United States Donald Trump will be ‘best friends’ with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an adviser to the Republican claimed on Thursday.

Speaking to Reuters in an exclusive interview, US-based businessman Shalabh Kumar who is also Trump’s adviser on Indian-American voters said, Trump and Modi will be best friends. “Not only the two nations will be best friends, but these two guys will be best friends. Donald Trump knows about Modi through me. He is very keen to learn about Modi,” he said.

Kumar added that the two will meet in person but at a later date as Trump has a hectic schedule and has to sort out “too many wrongs” that have been done to the United States.

On being asked about South Asian security in the context of India’s rivalry with Pakistan, Kumar said, Trump is already in talks about cross-border terrorism and he recognises Pakistan as a “perpetrator of terrorism”.

“What I expect from him is a full expression of support for the surgical strikes that Modi ordered. The war against radical Islam is going to be properly prosecuted. He is going to find great partnership with India in that,” Kumar added.

Expressing his desire for trade between the US and India to double to $250 billion within a year or two, Trump’s adviser said that if given a ‘fair trade deal’, Trump will consider expanding trade with India.

Pakistan and American relations are so complex that it is hard for normal humans like us to understand(maybe impossible for indians).

Each of us need each other in this region and cannot survive without each other.Maybe different to public and media but our interest are similar for this region.

I don't know why I have a feeling but Pakistan seems to be on verge of major economic boom. Especially with the CPEC unfolding, The amount of investment is just growing everyday. I foresee at least 100-200 billion dollars being invested in Pakistan from China alone. The establishment of basic infrastructure is likely to cost $51.5 billion dollars as per CPEC and several industrial zones are being built alongside the junctions of motorways and highways. They would obviously fetch more money for industries and development of industrial zones alongside other nations who would see an opportunity to invest in well linked regional economic hub like Pakistan where the industries can be built to further promote any product inside Pakistan and the whole of Central Asia.

The world forms relationship on the basis of mutual benefit. I am quite sure the day is not far when Americans too will start pumping unprecedented amount of money in Pakistan for the sake of their own benefit. This Trump siding with India is a complete nonsense as the Americans cannot afford to have worst relationship with Pakistan under the present circumstances.

I really don't mind however if the Americans wish to impose any restrictions upon us. They are certainly not in position to impose restrictions like they did for Iran or North Korea and any softer imposition of bans will not hamper too much under present circumstances. American needs Pakistan at least until 2020 if she wants a better peaceful world, particularly peace Afghanistan and wouldn't want to open another Pandora box of crisis so the relationship with continue to remain like this if not further improved.

I don't know why I feel that Trump will end up gifting more money to Pakistan rather than imposing the restrictions upon us. He is a businessman, he surely wants to invest in India, there is no doubt in it but he wouldn't want any parallel USA to take birth in South Asia and for that sake their policy will continue to remain neutral over the two arch rivals

Yes the feeling is mutual.

A developed Pakistan can be beneficial for the US in the long run.

As far as India is concerned it is obvious that US Interest in India is based on economic reasons instead of strategic ones and now Trump supposed to be dealing with Russia mildly would also negate the strategic claims.

Further I am wondering if Trump would be looking into H1 visa, call centers, IT contracts to fetch back jobs to Americans ?

In short we got jai (Modi) and veeru (Trump) View attachment 350839

Friendship till hell :hang2::laugh::suicide::suicide2:;)

Indeed

Exactly, The fact is Americans have a history of screwing up nations in the name of bilateral relationship, strategic and economic partners. Pakistan knew what would happen to it but they wanted to taste before coming to conclusion.

The fact is, No nation in the world would become your strategic partner unless you share land boundary with them. They will most likely be your economic partners for the benefit of themselves and themselves alone. USA has no reason not to ditch India if it's not making them any money or serving any purpose. They obviously lives in different part of the world and mutual economic benefits, the fear of China's rising dominance and the willingness of Indian people to support America's ambitious plans to sustain monopoly is all that's bringing them together.

The day India is not useful to them, the relationship would deteriorate.

Further I am wondering if Trump would be looking into H1 visa, call centers, IT contracts to fetch back jobs to Americans ?:D
He is a cunning businessman. He would not do that. I am hopeful USA will economically progress under his leadership and he would be Made-In-USA like person reviving his efforts to bring back industrial sector in USA. The call centres will remain abroad for cheap labour but he would try to rebuild the USA like President Hoover of 1930s in order to create more n more jobs in USA. Cheap Employment will continue to grow in the likes of India, Philippines and Asia but he would definitely assert on establishing or relocating major industrial units within the boundaries of United States unlike Obama
