AGARTALA: Tripura will be gateway for reliable and super-fast Internet facility as Bangladesh government has agreed to allow India to use unspent bandwidth in the neighbouring country's Cox Bazar, a BSNL official said today.

"An agreement of using unspent bandwidth available at Bangladesh's Cox Bazar has been signed recently. The BSNL has taken initiative to implement the ambitious plan at the earliest," Chief General Manager (NE-circle) of BSNL, D P Singh said.

As per the agreement, Bangladesh government would allow the BSNL to use 10 GB Internet connectivity which could bring a revolution not only in the northeast but also some mainland states, he said.

The BSNL will have to pay Rs 7.2 crore annually to Bangladesh for using submarine cable laid at Cox Bazar.

To carry forward the plan, Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is scheduled to arrive here in the next couple of days, Singh said.

Good for cooperation in the region.

.
A typical and traditionally loss-win (BD-IND) deal. Even after this deal, Tripura will hate BD for their imaginary and baseless terrorist, immigration issues. So, a useless sacrifice for us.

The deal is like the Rate Tripura is gonna have for 1 mbps bandwidth, 3 times higher rate will be existed if you cross just the Border means in Bangladesh.

Not really. Tripura intellectuals are largely pro BD. Tripurans see themselves as an extension of BD. Is that something we should feel good as Bangladeshis? As you say are independent Bengali?

. . . .
of course it is....Bangladeshis have outnumbered locals in Tripura

Yes. But we also helped India to uproot Tripura's fierce rebels. And only by that joint effort AFPSA of Tripura is lifted recently. Also in the past Tripura princely state wanted to join BD. But it was our misfortune we couldnt leverage that. And 85% Tripura Hindus are Bangladeshis its really a good news. Hindu Muslim Bhai Bhai.

. .
Tripura is Hindu, they are not descended from Muslim Warrior Afghan, Arab Persian and Turk like us. We are above them and should not have any contact with them.

. . . .
Above strange comment are coming from migrated people talking about others issue .. LOL

.
Time to cut them off and let these ungrateful indians rot

Some data bandwidth from BD was taken on yearly rent by a telecom company, and BDians lost their brains in happiness! :P
