China has 11 Top50 construction machinery manufacturers of 2014.
Hope they can make it to Top3 in the coming decade.

The Top 50 list is ranked by revenue. The revenue ranking dilutes share of the Chinese players, because they usually sold much more cost-competitive products than its western peers. Take wheeled-loaders (the largest sub-category of construction equipment) as an example, a Chinese loader is usually priced about 45,000 to 50,000 USD per unit; but a comparable western loader could be two times more expensive than a Chinese loader! But the two products indeed have almost the same performance! Without these good-performing, plus cost-competitive Chinese machines, the infrastructure construction pace in China (either HSR or express ways) would be far more expensive and much more slower than what we see today.

Construction equipment sales ranking by volume:
- wheeled loaders: global top three are Lingong, Liugong and Lonking (临工,柳工、龙工)
- cranes: global top two are XCMG and Zoomlion (徐工,中联重科)
- bulldozers: global No.1 is Shantui (山推)
- cement pump trucks: global top two is Sany and Zoomlion (三一、中联重科)

. .
You mean 11 spots in the top 50? Being in the Top 3 would not be part of the 2016-2020 Five-Year Plan right?
5-year plan is about direction rather than specifics.

Sany 62M Concrete Pump Truck Sent to Japan to Cool down Nuclear Reactors
March 19 News from Sina.com Finance – Sina.com Finance learned today from Sany Heavy Industry that at the request of Tokyo Electric Power Company, Sany will dispatch one unit of 62M truck-mounted concrete pump immediately to Japan to help cool down the nuclear reactors in the Fukushima nuclear plant, which had been seriously damaged by the devastating earthquake at a scale of magnitude 9.0 and tsunami in March 11, 2011. At present, this 62M concrete pump truck has set out from Changsha city, headquarters of Sany Heavy Industry, and is expected to arrive in Japan next Wednesday at the earliest.

When the nuclear plant in Fukushima was hit by the earthquake and tsunami, the cooling systems of a few nuclear reactors had failed, and the fuel rods were unable to cool down. Tokyo Electric Power Company has been trying to spray sea water to those reactors by fire trucks, military helicopters, concrete pump trucks and other equipments in an attempt to cool down the fuel rods of nuclear reactor and fix the cooling systems of two damaged reactor groups so as to stop the leakage of nuclear radioactivity.

According to Deputy General Manager of Sany Overseas Yang Zhihua, the dispatched 62m truck-mounted concrete pump is mainly responsible for spraying sea water into No. 4 nuclear reactor group, which is 46 meters in height. Pump truck has to work 14 meters away from the nuclear reactor group, and 62M truck-mounted concrete pump made by Sany Heavy Industry can meet this requirement perfectly.

It is reported that Sany Heavy Industry is holding a Guinness world record for the pump truck with the longest boom in the world. When Tokyo Electric Power Company requested to purchase the SY5502THB 62M truck-mounted concrete pump from Sany Heavy Industry to help cool down the reactors by spraying sea water into them, Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry Liang Wengen responded promptly that Sany would offer one unit of 62M truck-mounted concrete pump for free to help Japan cool down No. 4 nuclear reactor group, and that Sany would provide all-round support to the operations at the nuclear plant if necessary. The said 62M truck-mounted concrete pump is worth 1 million US dollars.

Today, Sany Heavy Industry received an official letter from Masataka Shimizu’s SY5502THB 62M truck-mounted concrete pump as the disaster relief equipment and use it in the operations at the nuclear plant in Fukushima. Masataka Shimizu hoped that Sany’s pump truck could reach Japan as soon as possible., president of Tokyo Electric Power Company, agreeing to accept Sany

At present, this 62M truck-mounted concrete pump has set out from Changsha, where Sany Heavy Industry is headquartered. When it arrives in Shanghai on March 20, it will be shipped immediately to Osaka, Japan. The pump truck is estimated to reach Japan next Wednesday. Sany Heavy Industry will also send a service engineer to Japan to provide technical support.

Sales Director of Sany Overseas Sun Bin updated his micro blog this afternoon, “After over 10 hours’ preparation and testing by Sany Concrete Pumping Machinery Company, the 62M truck-mounted concrete pump finally got ready and set out for Japan.”
In fact, this is not the first time that Sany-made equipments have joined the disaster relief operations in foreign countries. In October 2010, the “King Crane” SCC4000 crawler crane, manufactured by Sany Heavy Industry, was chosen by the Chilean government to join the relief operation in the collapsed San Jose Copper Mine in Chile.

“The reason why Tokyo Electric Power Company has chosen the pump truck made by Sany Heavy Industry this time is that Sany, as the No. 1 brand in the field of global concrete pumping machinery, has shown outstanding performance of its concrete pumping products. Tokyo Electric Power Company trusts the quality of Sany’s products,” an expert in the industry told the reporter.

It is reported that boom making technology is one of the key technologies used in manufacturing truck-mounted concrete pump. This technology was formerly held in the hands of German and American manufacturers. Through arduous independent R&D and innovation, Sany successfully developed China’s first truck-mounted concrete pump with long boom in 1998, which held independent intellectual property rights. The successful development of concrete pump truck by Sany Heavy Industry totally changed the past situation that the boom technology was controlled by foreign pump truck manufacturers. After a decade’s development, the boom length of Sany’s pump truck has been updated from 37 meters to 72 meters. Up to now, Sany has become the world’s largest concrete pumping machinery manufacturer, with an annual output of over 4,000 units of truck-mounted concrete pumps.

Doesn't Japan make these machines? They are supposed to be light years ahead of China, no?
