They pretended that it may stop, or will not rise to sweep them away, such thinking while standing on the edge of a mountain?, if they had tried to move further to the edge they might have had a change to reach a safer place.

This video is not from karnataka.. It is from madhya pradesh, 20 kms from Indore city (which is where i live)... Name of the fall is PATALPANI.... I have seen that place myself some 10 times and the water actually comes without any warning... About 50 people have lost their lives in the same fall in the last 10 years... So many danger signs are put up there., but people just dont listen..... Really sad....
In all total 8 people had gone for a picnic there, 5 of whom were caught and washed in the fall... Of those five, two were saved by the local villagers about 2 kms downstream, one dead body has been recovered, and two are still missing.... The girl who died lived like a mile away from my place... Engineering student...
If only these people would have given some attention to the NUMEROUS danger signs and markings.......
