Exactly. The EU was a last ditch attempt by France and Germany to challenge US domination.

It is beyond ridiculous to try and merge the Mercedes economies of France and Germany with the horse-and-buggy contraptions of Greece, Spain and Portugal.

from now they have a solidarity plan and if i was listening Alain Juppé yesterday on tv
he was explaining well that Europe go slowly to a federal Europe
But you can already see most laws come from Europe now and not nation
