Trade volume between Pakistan, China's Zhejiang hits 4 bln USD

. .
Wow,$3.8 billion exports by Zhejiang to Pakistan and just $200 million imports. The ratio is much worse than India-China trade, which I thought was pretty bad!
Looks like the trade deficit is "higher than Himalayas" and "Sweeter than Honey"(for China)

And to make matters worse,Pakistan is going to include 6,000 more items under the next phase of the Pak-China FTA

Pakistan’s trade deficit with China: 9.1 billion U.S. dollars (among which many deficits are under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Pakistan cannot produce products and equipment that must be imported).
Pakistan’s trade deficit with UAE: $4.8 billion,

India's trade deficit with China: 52.6 billion U.S. dollars.
It seems that Pakistan is not an ally of China while India is .

The real question is not whether China needs to reduce China's tariff from 8% to 5% or 3%. What really needs to be resolved is the issue of the competitiveness of Pakistani enterprises. If Pakistan does not have a competitive business, giving you a zero tariff will have no effect, because the Chinese will not buy products that are not competitive.

European luxury vehicle exports to China, China's tariff is 50% to 250%, there are still many Chinese people spenda lot of money to buy them. For example, for a Faraday sports car, the original price for exporting to China is 500,000 U.S. dollars. The purchase price for Chinese customers is 1.5 million U.S. dollars, but still many Chinese people buy it. This can explain the problem: The most important issue to be solved is the issue of the competitiveness of Pakistani companies.

In simple terms, the quality of Pakistani products should be better than that of others, the price should be cheap, or the quality is the same as others, but the price is cheaper. In this way, it is easy to attract Chinese consumers as they have higher competitiveness.

Pakistan's exports to China consists of low value goods like textiles, perishables, leather items and the like. In a level playing field Pakistan would nowhere stand a chance of competing against the ASEAN nations, Bangladesh and India. Only way forward from their point-of-view is to receive preferential treatment, to tilt the scale in their favour.

And you are shirking away from making such a small concession for your all weather-higher than the Himalayas friend even though they were quick to accept your economic suzerainty.

Whether Chinese consumers will buy or not is a problem.

The most important reason for the all-weather partnership is to fight India’s expansionism. The economic law has nothing to do with the all-weather partnership. Huawei mobile phones are very popular in China. However, Chinese people have never heard of any mobile phone brands of India sold in China. Why? Because India's mobile phones are not competitive enough. But us apple iPhone does and earn a lot of money, can we call China accepts the economic suzerainty of US???

From an economic point of view, there is no market for products that are not competitive.
For example, China's VT-4 tanks and 69 tanks, why Thailand buy the more expensive VT 4 instead the cheaper 69,because of its competitiveness. Otherwise, unless it is free, no country will buy it.

The stages of development in different countries are different. In 1987, China’s foreign exchange reserves were only 2.9 billion U.S. dollars, and today China’s foreign exchange reserves are 3.1 trillion U.S. dollars. China has invested 60 billion U.S. dollars in the economic corridor of China -Pakistan. This was previously unthinkable.

Plus China is still buying large-scale passenger planes of United States and Europe. It is because China cannot yet manufacture it well. Is it because China buys US and European passenger aircraft that makes China subsidiary of the United States and Europe? ?

If Pakistan can manufacture high-performance passenger aircraft, China will also purchase such passenger aircraft from Pakistan in large quantities coz we China need them!!!

The assessment of relations with foreign countries should be based on whether the two sides have their own needs from each other, not just because there are territorial disputes, China and India should be born enemies.
We love bollywood movies and want to see more imported!
We also like Pakistani rice and hope that China can import more rice from Pakistan.

It is a strategic partnership for sure, to the benefit of both the countries. Problem though lies in Pakistan's assertion that the partnership will be a panacea to the multitude of issues plaguing their economy when the truth is far from it. China will not be doling out freebies to Pakistan, and dear friends across the border kindly take note.

Fair enough, you have made your point abundantly clear. But I must say that our trade deficit though somewhat precarious, is in no way as lopsided as Pakistan's.

China and India are born enemies.
I beg to differ, there was a time when even the mighty Himalayas could not bar us from exchanging pleasantries.

There is an imbalance in trade.
It is a myth that imbalance in trade has negative impact on national wealth, though it is often used by politicians to root for their own factions.

.
Tariff free mango and rice export will close the gap.

you misunderstood my words, actullay i am trying to say india and China should not be born enemy!

If both China and India can withdraw, it is in the interests of China and India to benefit from the territorial disputes between the two countries and the interests of the developing countries. At present, the confrontation between China and India is not beneficial to both parties.
India’s continued confrontation with China cannot secure a seat on the UN Security Council, nor can it gain status of nuclear supplier group.

China’s strong economic development also cannot benefit the Indian economy. Ordinary Chinese investors will think that since India is so hostile to China, as a Chinese, I invest in India, and whether investment interests can be guaranteed. If cannot guaranted, why should I invest in India?
