Was necessary to protect them from the excesses of the majority. It also served as catalyst and tens of thousands of Qadyanis moved to abroad and living far better life than millions of non-Qadyanis in Pakistan. No matter how much they curse this democratic decision, it proved a blessing in disguise for Qadyanis. Anybody from this community can now move abroad by claiming persecution and subjugation.

This was a sad day in our history. Today liberalism fell at the gates of fanaticism and religious insecurity. This is where the terrorists truimphed and tore apart the secular vision of Muhammed Ali Jinnah who called an Ahmedi his son.
