Time Limit on the PDF?

I know it is eventually our own, personal responsibility to spend as much time on the PDF as we want to. But the forum is extremely addictive, & we like to spend hours & hours on this website. As most of us are professional individuals, who are either in college or have jobs, or some other responsibilities: it can be detrimental for our careers.

Should there be a time limit on the PDF? We can all be given 3-4 hours time limits on the PDF per day, & we can use up our minutes any time of the day/night. We can log out/leave the website when we choose to, to conserve our minutes. This will improve the heavy traffic on this website as well, & as a result, the website will run a lot faster as well.

3-4 hours!!!! that's too much time to spam!......i hardly spend more than 30 mins....

Hi Bilal i hear where you are coming from.
My issue would be sometimes i leave it on in the office and go and engage in some other work and perhaps look at it for 5 or 10 minutes and then going off again. I think its difficult to restrict sometimes as i agree it does get addictive. The down side of this is if you are perhaps running low on time and rushing to do a couple of posts then the quality be deteriorate!

and PDF is not forcing anybody to visit this site but it does want more and more members for the popularity of this forum. So the choice is yours... if you want your future/career - study properly... if you want PDF - nobody is forcing you to spend hours n hours per day.

and PDF is not forcing anybody to visit this site but it does want more and more members for the popularity of this forum. So the choice is yours... if you want your future/career - study properly... if you want PDF - nobody is forcing you to spend hours n hours per day.

Maybe the fresh members can get a very less time limit, & as you go up in your 'rank', you can have greater time limit? That way, the forum will moderate itself automatically, & we won't be having as many troll posts?

When I plenty of work from my job or from the online classes I'm taking, I don't log on to this website for days. I know if I log on once, it's very hard for me to stop.

addiction kam karne ke liye senior members ka time kab karna thaa par unka agar time waise ka waise hi raha to junior members ka time kam karne ke kya faida howa? junior members ko to zayada time milna chahiye taa ke woh is forum pe time guzaar sakain aur regular member ban sakain... senior members ki addiction ko kam karne ke liye yeh thread bana thaa aur woh is advise se ho nahi sakti

Everyone should have time limits on this forum. Senior members should have a greater time limit than the junior members. Period. I've seen people on this website trying to get their accounts deactivated or closed, but there's no such option. Think about that.

New members are not addicted, so restricting their time will make them join other forums than stay on PDF with their limited time. Rather, if any sort of such restriction is ever applied (which of course should never), it should be applied on senior members, and not the new ones.

I do not know how will you take it, but the trolling results in greater presence of members on the forum, and generates more money than senior members. Trolls are good, in fact they are the bread and butter(s)

Unless the senior members on PDF are the only geniuses left in the world with all the knowledge, such an approach would be a suicide with cyanide for this forum.

You see most of the troll & low quality threads by the newer members, & then the Senior Members fall for their bait as well. I think we can also differentiate between browsing & starting threads.
