3 killed, woman hurt amid clashes in Kashmir Srinagar:
Two youths were killed in government forces action in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday amid protests against the polling for Srinagar seat of Indian Parliament. A police officer said two civilians Faizan Ahmad Dar and Jan Muhammad Rather were killed in Dalwan village of Budgam district in central Kashmir. The area was under complete lockdown when the report was filed. A woman who could not be identified was wounded in government forces’ firing at Beerwah in Budgam. Reports of firing were also received from Nasrullah Pora in Budgam, Kashmir Dispatch team in Srinagar said. The government has shut the internet services in the region. “Besides clashes and protests are underway at scores of places in all three districts of Srinagar constituency. There is visible impact of boycott call,” the Srinagar team of Kashmir Dispatch noted.
