Three ‘militants' held as terror bid foiled in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) arrested three terror suspects and seized a large cached of arms and ammunition in operations carried out in the restive province on Monday.
According to reports, the FC acting on a tip-off launched search operations in Quetta’s eastern bypass, Bolan and Dera Murad Jamali.
“During the raid a large cache of arms and explosives were seized from their [suspects’] compounds which might be used for terror bids in Balochistan,” a security official told The Express Tribune.

Security forces recovered 26kg of white explosive material, 8kg black explosive powder, three RPG7 rockets and three hand grenades.
Moreover, an anti-tank mine, 13 detonators, as well as, communication equipment was also seized.
The suspected terrorists have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
Last month, the paramilitary forces arrested three suspected militants belonging to banned outfits as it foiled terror bid to disrupt peaceful conduct of the July 25 elections.
