Wrong.

The worst enemies are those who have allowed this newspaper and its editors to thrive without cleverly getting rid of them.

A country has many enemies and it is the job of the security institutions and/or the deep state to deal with them. Failure to do so --- especially with open enemies --- shows a lack of competence and/or courage in our own institutions. It is foolish to blame a thief for coming into your house when that's what thieves do --- blame the guard who was asleep at the gate.
