Those excluded in NRC won’t be taken back by Bangladesh
Posted By: Madhuri Adnal Published: Wednesday, August 1, 2018, 7:26 [IST] 6 New Delhi,

Aug 1: Bangladesh has made it clear that it will not take back those who have been excluded from the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam.

We don't think we will take back those people who have been excluded in the final draft of the NRC. This is not a bilateral issue between the countries and so the question does not arise, Bangladesh culture minister, Asaduzzaman Noor told the Indian Express.

There will be a bloodbath in India if India tries to push back these Indian Muslims.

Muslims in India r already fuming in anger due to the discrimination they have been facing under this fascist Modi government. Muslims in India can't practise their religion properly, can't celebrate their religious festival, even their movement is restricted. Now they have stripped 4 million Muslims off their citizenships and planning to throw them out in Ganjas just like their monkey friend Myanmar.

No way, remaining 200 million Muslims in INDIA will tolerate this discrimination without doing anything. I m sensing a riot in India. If a riot indeed takes place I hope the blood of the Shanghai Scums will wash away all the negativity that's currently circulating in India.

Dhaka more interested in water-sharing than on NRC issue, says Bangladesh Minister

“Bangladesh is interested in getting its due share of water from India, rather than a part of the citizens of Assam,” says Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu.

Bangladesh will discuss water-sharing with India rather than the issue of the National Register of Citizens, a senior Minister of the country said on Wednesday.

Hasanul Haque Inu, Information Minister in the Sheikh Hasina government, told The Hindu that India had not raised the issue of human movements from Bangladesh since the creation of the country in 1971, and termed the exclusion of four million individuals from the NRC as the sign of a “democracy deficit” in India.

“The NRC in Assam is a product of a century-old ethnic conflict of a particular province of India. It is well known that the conflict of Assam began even before modern India and Bangladesh were born in 1947 and 1971. Bangladesh is interested in getting its due share of water from India, rather than a part of the citizens of Assam,” Mr. Inu said on the phone from Dhaka, hinting at the stalled negotiation with Delhi over the sharing of Teesta waters.

Mr. Inu, a former guerilla who fought in the 1971 Liberation War, said Dhaka hoped that the Modi government would ensure an amicable settlement of the controversy that had arisen after more than four million people were excluded from the NRC.

The Minister said “democracy deficit” was a trend in major democracies of the world. “Mature constitutional democracies that have handled issues of identity and distribution of resources without creating human tragedies are failing to do so in recent years. That is why an NRC-like problem emerged in India,” he said.

Diplomatic sources said Bangladesh had no plans to engage India on the NRC. However, Indian diplomats had begun to engage Bangladeshi opinion-makers on the developments in Assam, said the Editor of a prominent Dhaka daily, Bhorer Kagoj.

“Indian High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla met a group of 12 senior editors today [Wednesday] in Dhaka and briefed us about the history of the NRC and how it had been drafted over the past few years. He informed us about the 1985 Assam Accord. He, however, did not mention that India would try to deport the NRC-excluded four million citizens to our country,” Mr. Datta said.

An editorial published in Bhorer Kagoj on July 31 had cautioned that Dhaka should remain alert so that the NRC would not trigger an influx from Assam to Bangladesh.

What happened to BSF when they tried a "limited military operation" against BD when Hasina was last in power back in 2001? A slaughter of the BSF was the result.

BD will slaughter your clown army yet again if they dare try the same stunt again.

lol say good bye to water sharing agreement,
And say welcome to ULFA.:P

To where? Diversion of Brahmaputra is a pipe dream. It will never happen. Ganges water treaty already in places. So no diversion is possible violeting the terms. And Bangladesh is not entirely dependent on Indian rivers. We have plenty of ours.
Restricted trade routes,etc
And No transit to North east India either. What trade route restriction you are talking about? Bangladesh do trade over Indian territory only with Nepal and Bhutan. If India block this route, Nepal Bhutan will be piss off with India.Bangladesh is an important trade partner for them.
If needed we will throw them inside with a limited military operation, this is not an internal affair Army will get involved.
No limited military operation is possible.Any attempt of it will result in Indian casualties like 2001 and 2005-2006 period.

Indian Muslims are weak and no backbone at all. Some of them jokers even voted in modi or became BJp candidates during the elections. No hope for them and they are not like there counterpart in the West Pakistanis fought for a homeland. Don’t expect too much from them in any form of resistance. Kashmiris are not Indian Muslims that’s the difference
