I never discounted logic and philosophy as the central theme of Hindu temples. You are constructing this strawman. Logic and philosophy were not to be presented in a manner devoid of beauty. No, the fundamental center of Hindu values is not mindless evolution, but bliss and beauty. Evolution happens in the pursuit of these.
Sat Chit Ananda means Existence, Consciousness, and Bliss. At no point of time was seeking happiness a taboo in Indian society. It is illogical to say seeking sorrow is the only aim in life. If people were to think like you art in India would not have developed at all whereas literally all our art is born of our religion.
My explanation was stripped down for better understanding. No point in trying again.
Logic and Philosophy are two different things. They can be presented without beauty. They can be presented with beauty too ..... neither make any different to the soundness of the Logic or the depth of the Philosophy. Which means Beauty or lack of it is worthless as compared to the substance.
Self invoked Evolution can never be mindless, it is a very purposeful attempt with a specific goal.
Bliss translates to "joy" which is just another side of "unhappiness", when the goal itself is to be free of both how can that be the destination of the journey ? Beauty again is subjective and lies in the Jaundiced eye of the beholder. This again is just the another side to "ugly". One cannot be found without the other. Again the pursuit of which is pointless since it a persuite of base desire.
Sat Chit Anand comes from the name for Vishnu which is Sachidananda i.e. The one who is aware of the true nature of Consciousness. Another name for Vishnu is Achidananda which comes from "A chit Anand" which means Awareness without Consciousness. Both are one and the same yet contradictory at first glance.
The satisfaction that comes from being aware of the Consciousness and being part of that consciousness at the same time. To be with and without Consciousness. There is no "joy and bliss", only awarness.
No one is denied a path of desire. One is free to follow that too. Its a temporary pursuit and also a never ending pursuit. No one is forced to denounce Gratification. Art, Sex, alcohol, drugs, music, dance, painting, sculpture etc. Hindu philosophical influence has been spread to all forms too. But that does not make it Hindu Philosophy. Any more than a christian named Achudanandan becomes a Hindu by the virtue of his name.
