Nothing like that. You are looking at it from a very narrow key hole. Das is a devout Hindu now. His personal taste will naturally be influenced by his past. Apart from the shallow exterior, the heart of the temple architecture is very much Hindu. And in fact instead of subverting Hinduism as you are suggesting, a point can be made that it is Christianity that is being subverted. Indeed, ISKCON has millions of followers, acting as a bridge for many converted ex Christians into the Hindu fold.But I am not yet convinced that the attempt to make a temple look like a cathedral is not a way to diminish the Hindu Philosophy and values the temple is expected to nurture and spread.
The major benefit will be a greater interest in Hindu cosmology and diversification of Hindu thinking, encompassing multiple cultures. That is a good thing. For Hinduism. As well as for the world in general.
