I guess the message in this image was not that the top brass has the resolve to fight and is standing alongside the soldiers, but that you keep killing our sons and we'll keep carrying their bodies.

Conscription is actually how armies become unprofessional. There is ample documented evidence for this.

What is needed however is a citizens reserve at federal, prorvincial and UC level with limited powers under PPC and integration within the local law enforcement set-up.

A good example would be similar to how “special constables “ were appointed during times of war also known as Razakar reserves.

Look at the state of Ukraine and Russia's war today, both sides fu(ked due to lack of trained soldiers , the quickest way for Pakistan to get ready for impending simultaneous East/West border war is to start conscription quickly. Also the whole Pakistan population needs military discipline, too many freeloaders who aren't contributing to society, use the army to enskill them. Start military schools for kids and not just for officer class. All primary and high school kids must have 25% military component.

We don't want resolve we want action before this cancer infects the whole of Pakistan.
