Apparently, the motherboard team doesn't know the distinction between a fusion reactor and a fusion reaction electrical generator. This is a Farnsworth fusor, it takes in orders of magnitudes more energy than it outputs, they're used to produce high energy neutrons to produce isotopes, usually for medical use.

True I thought it looked like a bit less than 15 million degrees celsius

But I like the idea of experiments and designs being open source. I have done that too in my under-design microprocessor and OS.
