What's new

This Islamic Fatwa Just Declared That Playing ‘PUBG’ Is Haraam And We’re Officially Landing In Pochi

When you were 4, there weren't that many violent graphic games about were there? 20 years ago, 1998, was dial-up net with ICQ etc and gaming was nothing like today. Games on discs like fighter pilot and sniper plus Sims etc, nothing like today.

So I think your comparison is quite skewed!

Children are v smart, they download these violent games, play and then delete them before handing the tablet/phone back to the parents. It's ruining this generation in all sorts of ways.
Samurai showdown?,mortal combat, house of the dead were not violent games?Really?
I used to game in arcades games were just as violent the only thing that changed was detail of violence as for kids deleting well there is a thing called parental lock you can prevent your child from installing new games or even accessing the internet on his tablet until given permission
Don't blame video games blame dumb parenting

Living in 2019, the age of globalization, the world is constantly shrinking and whatever happens at one end of the globe, automatically affects what goes in the other. Today, the internet has made things so accessible, that if something goes viral in the USA, it automatically starts gaining traction in Pakistan too.

The case of the famous mobile and computer game PUBG (Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds) is something similar. When it first came out on mobile, it went viral all over the world, not just the East or West. Ever since the ‘Muslim Ummah’ too got addicted to the game, there has been a very controversial statement that has come out.

Officially, a Muslim aalim from Pakistan has given an Islamic fatwa against the game, dubbing it Haraam (Forbidden) for Muslims to play. Now, the aalim hasn’t given this statement just for the sake of it. Instead, in a video message, he explained all the reasons which make the game forbidden for Muslims to play.

The fatwa says that there is going to be a huge fight before the Day of Judgement called ‘Al-Malhamadal Kubra’ and it is going to be the biggest war ever. And the fight is going to be so gory, that every 99 will lose and only 1 will pass, just as it happens in PUBG.

Those who will take part in Almalhamadal Kubra, on the right side, will go to Heaven — others will go to Hell. He says that PUBG mobile the game reenacts Almalhamadal Kubra, and is a teaser for just that. He further says that Muslims are being taught how to do unrighteous things by playing the game, where they wipe out ‘village after village’.

The aalim who issued the fatwa further goes on to say that the Jews created this game to divert the Muslims’ attention, but in reality, the game has been devised and launched by the Chinese — so we really don’t know what’s up.

He further goes on to say that the game is so ‘manhoos’ that children have stopped obeying their parents over it. He says that children get so absorbed into the game that they get annoyed if someone asks them to stop playing it. Although these points may be valid, but they take to a lot of different things, not just PUBG.

He then says a bunch of weird things, which a child should not be hearing, creating hate in his heart for other races and religions. However, a lot of people since the fatwa came out, have quit PUBG, while others have increased their ‘in-game’ time. That’s just how the world works.

Hope he never finds out about the Witcher 3 :D
@The Sandman
I agree with the fatwa
anything that doesn't involve real violence towards women, children and men in the name of Islam is totally haram.
people should be made to feel scared all the time and made to see their loved ones being blown to bits or their heads chopped off by the demented fatwa giving mullah and his fellow rats hiding in caves or among ordinary people waiting to pounce on unsuspecting people of lesser faith.

the kind of this mullah have existed in different time periods. the Mullahs of united India declared use of phone, listening to radio, traveling by train as haram as well and with as dire consequences as breaking up of their marriages and burning in hell.

these mullahs in my view are specialized trolls of the internet, I call them religious trolls.
a normal troll would post stuff or comments just to cause offence and draw pleasure.
whereas these mullahs have divorced themselves from pleasure. they just do it out of habit and total disdain for the fellow mankind.

now some injured soul will throw a one liner at me saying why am I hating on "Islam" and why am I not bringing up Hindus, Christians, Jews, Teletubbies, Klingons, Athiests, Asgardians, Vulcans, Ferangis and Kardashians?
well my preemptive response to them is that I will comment on them on a relevant thread when it comes up. currently I am choosing to stick to the topic.

So no fatwa against ISIS, Taliban, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Punjabi Taliban, Boko Haram, hatred being taught against non Muslim and Muslim minorities in religious schools, TV and mosque loudspeakers? No fatwa against corrupt politicians draining the country from its resources? No fatwa against honour killings or wife beatings? Interesting..........:)
of course not
that is islam in his view

You don't game do you :D

You are comparing a few hundred thousands with access to arcades to billions accessing games instantly on their phones. Again, very skewed analysis with total disregard to exposure.

I'm not blaming parents. I'm pointing towards the negative impact these violent games leave on the younger generations.

I played car racing games and moved to car racing in real life.

Bloody Violence is that, extended exposure will mess with the mind whether it is real or animation.

Do you believe in Aliens? :D

. . .
that is for different purposes
For science

There are no violent impacts to speak of. I grew up playing violent video games I have yet to murder anyone

There is no proof of existence of aliens but with the galaxy having billions of planets we may never know
Perhaps the starshot project will clear a few things

You are very sure of zero impact on every single human from these violent games. Same brush for all - well that's to be expected from a 25yrs old.

By the way there are millions in West who completely disagree with you regarding Aliens. They are firm believers in Aliens, instead of God! And guess where they got their beliefs from ----> Movies!!

So the young one, no two humans are the same. You assuming that such violent games have zero effect on you along with everyone else is just plain stupidity to say the least.

Your senses and emotions have been effected and seeing real violence will not hit you as hard as the ones who have had no exposures to such graphic images. Acting out (murdering) is not the only effect. But believe what you want, zero impact, just like the believers in Aliens.

.
People are always quick to label new things as harmful, without understanding all the pros and cons of it.
Also games are way better at 4th walling and making you the player just stop ad think for a while
Such a story arch can only be implemented in games

.
fatwas against sir syed
What he's saying about Sir Syed is true? I mean did he really denied the mojaze mentioned in Quran? I mean jump to 7:00.
assassin creed. The world was started by the ancient ones whom making worshipped as gods. Adam and eve stole the apple of eden oh oh oh fatwa overload and here is the kicker. If Altair was a Muslim then how was his descendant a christian unless APOSTASY. This requires not one but five fatwas.
SSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :frown::lol: yar fatwa lagwana hai to fortnite pe lagwao Assassins Creed ke peeche kyun par gye ho  wese ye molvi sun le AC ke baare mein to baal hi nochle apne
use their knowledge and influence to actually help people.
April fools door hai abhi :D:P

That's what mods are for
Means dev are lazy af who can't put content in the game just produces a terrible skeleton and leaves it on community in the hopes they will figure things out still charging full price. That's pure greed i would say even worse than EA.
No I didn't. Interesting lol. Thanks, I'll probably just go and "waste" an hour researching everything there is to know about it. :D
:enjoy:
The reason is simply he never won and never saw winner winner chicken dinner.
Haram everything and blame it on Jews. Wth is wrong with such clerics.
:omghaha::omghaha: yep molana shb is really salty lmao

Whats the big fuss about PUBG these days? Is the game worth it? Should i try it on my Mobile?

@Zibago @The Sandman
PUBG is a battle royale game where 100 players are dropped on a map with out any weapons there are no teams you're on your own. Once down on the map you've to find weapons and kill or survive till last. If you manage to kill last guy (i.e if you managed to survive till last where only one guy besides you is alive) than you will win. Now i played it on PC my Internet is terrible but i am also not good at multilayer games to begin with on PC. Just not my type now it has some bugs a lot of cheaters (from China mainly). As far as mobile is concerned mobile gaming is not real gaming it's blasphemy.:dirol:

If you have proof of a mass negative impact please do list that study

Bethesda is lazy in making a good finished product but no one comes even close to their world design it took other a decade to match them in detailed world design

The mod support lets fans create entire new games
And make old titles fantastic
Or slightly more interesting if you are a man of high culture and download content from lovers lab :D

Some PC ports to Mobile and copycats are good

By the way there are millions in West who completely disagree with you regarding Aliens. They are firm believers in Aliens, instead of God! And guess where they got their beliefs from ----> Movies!!
They have a right to do so i would ask them what i ask of others EVIDENCE to back their claim
Until we dont have it we cant confirm existence of aliens and they will remain a myth
So the young one, no two humans are the same. You assuming that such violent games have zero effect on you along with everyone else is just plain stupidity to say the least.
For that purpose i posted a link to a study done on long term gamers you rejected that as it contradicted your long term held belief

Most healthy adults can tell the difference between real violence and animations

Utter rubbish. Doesn't this Imam know that playing PUBG makes you good at Jihad? So it is actually a blessing to play as you will become a great warrior.
